You're going to have an amazing day with Daniel as your guide! - Doing a tour of the coffee plantation and La Paz waterfall with Daniel was such a relaxing, stress-free day. As a guide, he was very patient, kind, and knowledgeable. He didn't make us feel rushed at all, and even waited for me when my stomach wasn't feeling well. Would highly recommend him! He was very accommodating with dropping me off at my hostel afterward, too. Note that due to recent heightened activity, you may not be able to visit Poas Volcano, but the tour was accommodating with that, and refunded us some of the money, which is rare for a company to do!

Exceptional for solo travel! - As a young female solo traveler, I was so pleased by the comfort and professionalism on this tour. My tour guides, Daniel and Ormond, were exceptional. They provided safe transport, answered all of my history questions, and had so much knowledge on the sites. They were kind and helpful. I enjoyed every moment! Bring your raincoat, bug spray, and camera.

An excellent day with Daniel - As other recent reviewers have commented, the eruptive activity meant we were unable to visit the volcano. But to some extent this felt like a positive to me as the pace of the tour was altogether more relaxed and allowed us to really enjoy the spots we visited. The coffee plantation was fascinating and beautiful; I enjoyed Daniel’s ability to find points of interest almost everywhere we wandered, from exotic trees like the rainbow eucalyptus to the red ants scurrying about the place. And, of course, learning more about coffee, its plants and different stages of life, was deeply interesting. Daniel has an excellent sense of humour and came across very well with our group with his relaxed and leisurely pace. By regularly advising us that we were not in any rush he made us feel most at ease. The highlight for me was the La Paz waterfall park, with its countless indigenous and tropical animal species. There were amazing birds, including a variety of colourful toucans, as well as sloths (sleeping when we visited, surprise surprise), big cats, snakes and more. I actually enjoyed the butterfly area the most: there were so many butterflies in a kaleidoscope of colours. The lunch stop, too, was quite positive: I don’t normally enjoy lunches of decent quality on tours but this one was most pleasant. Daniel also drove very well and kept our group entertained along the way, albeit in a way that was perfectly tuned into the conversation between us and not in a domineering way. What a great guy — highly recommend! Gracias, Finn

A friendly and exciting adventure - I had a wonderful time with Olman! I was especially grateful that he still gave the tour even through I was the only one. He was so friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The Poas volcano was closed because of high eruptive activity, so we spent more time at the coffee plantation and at the gardens. Overall, I highly recommend Olman and his service!

A great days in the nature - It’s nice tour, that I can recommend if you want to spend a day outside of San Jose. Unfortunately the volcano was closed, se we went to see a coffee plantation instead. The tour guide gave us a lot of interesting facts about growing coffee and the country in general

La Paz Waterfall Garden... - La Paz Waterfall Garden is a must see. We didn't visit the volcano because it was active and the park was closed. The park fee was refunded. We spent the extra time at La Paz. Our guide Olman was the best! Friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks for a great day!

Fantastic Small Group Tour - Unfortunately, we missed the volcano due to its recent activity (they reimbursed us the cost), but Daniel was a fantastic tour guide. It was a fabulous non-rushed first day in San Jose visiting the coffee farm and La Paz. We’ve been on 3 other tours in CR since this one and the tour guide can make or break it. Going in a small group (9 of us) who we were able to get to know was a pleasure.
