Experience Worth While - Vick communicates very well in English; he's full of a wealth of information about coffee, providing an unforgettable hands on experience. In addition to coffee, Vick connected our group with a textile expert who walked us through cotton from the plant to thread, the dying process, spooling, and loom for a final product. Finally, Vick took our group to a chocolate connoisseur where we learned more than we could imagine. This experience is must do!

What an amazing tour! - This was an amazing tour. Vick was absolutely the best, most informed tour guide ever. He took my husband and me on a walking tour of a community coffee farm explaining the growing process, followed by an in depth demonstration of the life cycle of coffee and culminating with a delicious taste of the coffee. He also included a side trip to the local textile cooperative, another excellent learning experience. Just can't think of a better way to spend the morning. Thank you, Vick!

Amazing experience - Our tour guide was a local who spoke great English and took us off the beaten path in San Juan. We ended up getting a little tour about honey and Mayan bees as well as weaving and textiles. Definitely worth it and an amazing way to explore San Juan!

Worth it - Our guide Evenia was very sweet and she took her job seriously, giving us lots of interesting information about coffee, chocolate and weaving in perfect English. The coffee operation is very small and there was no coffee tasting as such, just an opportunity to have a cup of coffee. The chocolate tour was just a visit to a store, but we felt that the weaving demonstration was very professional. We enjoyed the walk through the hills and we’re glad we did it.

Versatile Coffee Tour in San Juan - Super versatile excursion. Vicky spoke good English and was able to convey a lot of interesting information about the local coffee and its production in a beautiful scenery. In addition to visiting a local café with its own annex including tasting, we were guided to other exciting places. Here we were additionally shown the local cocoa production and traditional cotton production / processing.

An Unforgettable Journey Through Coffee, Culture, and Community – A Must-Do Tour with Victor - Our coffee tour with Victor around Lake Atitlán — specifically in San Juan La Laguna — was so much more than a tour. It was an immersive, eye-opening experience led by someone with deep roots in the land, culture, and traditions of Guatemala.
From the start, Victor made the entire process effortless. He was prompt, organized, and super easy to communicate with — coordinating pickup times and locations with flexibility and kindness, always keeping us informed and comfortable. That level of care set the tone for the experience to come.
Walking through San Juan with Victor felt like exploring the town through the eyes of a local. He didn’t just show us the sights — he brought them to life. From the intricate art of Guatemalan weaving to the rich symbolism in the town’s vibrant murals, to the flavors and traditions of local chocolate-making, every stop was layered with stories, history, and meaning. His deep, authentic knowledge created a connection between us and the culture that we would never have discovered on our own.
And of course — the coffee. Victor’s explanation of the entire process, from bean to cup, was both incredibly informative and deeply personal. He didn’t just teach us how coffee is grown and roasted — he shared what coffee means to the families, to the community, and to Guatemala itself. By the end, we had a whole new respect not just for the product, but for the people who produce it and the traditions that sustain it.
Victor is a guide in the truest sense of the word: a connector, a storyteller, a bridge between cultures. He made us feel welcomed, informed, and inspired. If you’re coming to Lake Atitlán and want to experience it in the most authentic, respectful, and meaningful way possible — this tour with Victor is essential. It’s an experience we’ll carry with us forever.

Three tours in one! - This was like three tours in one! Transportation/Pick up was easy and convenient. We started with a coffee tour - Vick was super knowledgeable, he comes from a family of coffee growers! We then walked up the Main Street in San Juan and stopped into an art gallery. He was very patient with us as we made our decisions/purchases. We then went to a chocolate store and got a tour, followed by a short walk over to Tejada which is a textiles collective. The chocolate and Textile tours were an added bonus, and both places had great shopping options as well. Really good for the price!

Vick was very informative... - Vick was very informative during the coffee portion of the tour! I learned a lot and went at a good pace.
The textile portion of it was really cool at first but turned out to be a tourist trap. Guilting you to buy from gift shop. Many textile places all over the town and the items were the same which made it feel inauthentic.
The town was very touristy. I enjoyed it but didn’t feel like it was an amazing value for the price. Would still recommend
