10/10 highly recommend - I had the best time with Marlon and made new friends along the way. Marlon was so kind, knowledgeable and helped us through the hike portion. He then encouraged us on the water activities and participated with us! The Luquillo Beach at the end was the perfect finishing touch.

The best time!! - I had such a wonderful experience on this rainforest tour! One of the highlights for me was the small group size—it created such a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and made it easy to connect with everyone. By the end of the day, we went from strangers to friends! Our guide, Marlon, was absolutely fantastic—so personable, knowledgeable, and full of positive energy. He shared stories about growing up in Puerto Rico, and you could truly feel how much he loves the island. Everywhere we went, locals were excited to see him—he’s clearly a familiar and friendly face in the community, which made the experience feel even more special and authentic. A standout moment was sharing a delicious, traditional Puerto Rican meal together as a group. Sitting down with everyone to eat and chat gave us a chance to hear where people were from and really connect beyond just the tour. This experience was the perfect mix of adventure, culture, and community. Highly recommend!

Book this tour! - Our guide was wonderful, knowledgeable and fun! The hike was beautiful and we had lots of fun on the natural water slide, cliff jump and rope swing. The fresh fruit at the end was the icing on the cake.

Excursión Inolvidable - A trip to see el Yunque is an amazing experience, but to experience it with Marlon makes it an unforgettable and phenomenal experience! Marlon is one of the most personable people I’ve ever met and he found a way to connect with each and every person in our group which consisted of families, individual travelers, kids, teens and adults spanning 5 decades. The tour was individualized for each person’s needs, yet it felt unified and cohesive. Our group met in a shopping center parking lot in San Juan where we boarded a 15-passenger van. Marlin drove the approximately 75-minute route while amicably chatting in both English and Spanish to our group. He played great, lively music (emphasis on Bad Bunny) while we all woke up and enjoyed the beautiful Puerto Rican country-side. We were first taken to an empanada stand for a quick breakfast and Marlon made excellent smoothie recommendations (my kids loved the mango-papaya!). Next, we entered el Yunque. The hike we completed in el Yunque was challenging from time to time, but satisfying. Marlon would have our group circle up every once in a while and teach us about the flora, fauna and history of el Yunque. My family and I developed a much better appreciation for the rainforest and Marlon’s enthusiasm was infectious. He is so proud to be Boricua! Marlon talked to each person in the group on and off throughout the hike and the (optional) water activities. He positively pushed each traveler to try something new and challenge themselves….he got my daughter to swing from a rope into a pool of water and to go down a natural waterslide. Very cool! When our group completed the water activities, Marlon set up a beautiful fruit “tray” for us to snack on and we headed back to the van. I watched many groups come by during the water activities and, while all of the guides seemed knowledgeable and capable, Marlon’s personable demeanor, positive vibes and energy were second-to-none. After el Yunque, we headed to the Kioskos de Luquillo. Marlon got everyone tables and made fantastic food and drink recommendations. Marlon checked in with everyone from time to time to make sure that we were satisfied with the experience. The food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. I’d recommend ordering right away (restaurant service in Puerto Rico tends to be quite slow) so that you have more time to check out the beach or the shops. The prices at the shops were also good if you are looking to purchase some souvenirs. Marlon then drove us back to San Juan. It was a wonderful day filled with exercise, education, connection and discovery. My family and I loved every minute of it! When we return to Puerto Rico, my family and I will definitely be looking up Marlon to do another tour. 100% recommend!!!

Excursion of a lifetime - This was one of the most memorable excursions I’ve ever been on. Marlon continuously made us all feel like family and our group learned so much, not only about El Yunque, but the PR culture as well. He’s truly Puerto Rico’s finest when it comes to experiences that are truly like no other. Even when it came to some in our group who were weak swimmers we were looked after with more than ample care. Couldn’t recommend him enough - BOOK EXPEDITIOUSLY!

WORTH IT! Soooooo Fun - We had THE BEST time ! Marlon is nothing short of fantastic! The hike is good work out .. but the views and the stories provided by your host .. awesome . I jumped in the water in a rainforest .. The local fruit spread and the market for lunch ( that’s on you ) but so cool ..

Amazing!!!! - This whole tour was amazing! Not only does Marlon strive to make personal connections with his guest, his love for his island and its history makes you love it too. He shows you amazing plant traits right before your eyes and spits out facts about PR history like he was there when it happened. I could not recommend this experience enough.

MUST DO! - This was my second time visiting El Yunque because Marlon made the experience so amazing, I wanted to bring my friends back so they could enjoy it too! Marlon is so knowledgeable about Puerto Rico, so much fun to be around, and just overall such an amazing guy. If you’re going to PR, MAKE SURE YOU BOOK THIS WITH HIM!! you won’t regret it :)
