Amazing and the right amount of scary - This excursion with Jesus was amazing! I would not recommend for those who have fears of cliffs or don’t trust themselves walking in slippery areas but I loved every second. I would say it’s about 60% hike and 40% swim but only if you go before the group. Our tour guide Jesus was very enthusiastic, energetic and knowledgeable about the plants and fruits we saw and was eager to tell us fun facts. Jesus also provided life vests, water bottles and a snack about half way through the excursion. We didn’t bring our phones (we honestly could’ve with a proper water protector) but he had a camera and took lots of pictures and videos (cost $50). He was also very patient when it came to being scared of the jumps, I took about 3 minutes to jump lol. We were allowed to jump off the cliffs multiple times and there was a decent amount of time to swim. If you’re the first to jump off or lead the “pack” then you get more swim time than those who come down last, but we were first most of the time so it was great! As a 5’2 person a lot of the swims in the big cave I couldn’t touch the ground but the life vest helped a lot. We showed up to the meeting point about 15 minutes early and beat the tour guide but he came very close to leaving time so no complaints there. Jesus also made a great effort in getting everyone in the group to come together and be friendly.

Amazing experience, totally worth it - This tour is epic!! It was truly one of the most exhilarating and beautiful experiences I’ve had. We start with a hike, small cliff jump, swim through a cave, then hike a little more to see a water fall, then end at the last spot with even bigger beautiful cliffs and lots of leisurely swimming. I was worried about the hike being strenuous but it was very doable (as someone that isn’t in shape but occasionally does easy hikes). Our tour guide Sean was fantastic! He knew the area very well and showed us lots of little details. I’m so glad I did this, so worth it!

Be prepared to get wet!... - Be prepared to get wet! You see a cave and then walk along a river to a watering hole. The guide shows you places to jump and secret hiding places. Our guide was Edgardo and he was super friendly and accommodating. He always made sure we were safe, showed us the features of certain plants and even did a surprise karaoke at the end. Really, really great guy. You can tell he loves his job.

More Local Swim Spot Than Excursion - If you're torn between this and El Yunque National Forest go with the forest. This is more of a neighborhood watering hole than a full-on excursion. In my opinion not worth the price. Our guide was super kind and helpful (shoutout to him!), but the hike is no joke. You’ll be climbing slippery rocks and a steep hill with no clear trail. There’s nowhere to change or safely stash your stuff. I had to jump in wearing overalls and tennis shoes. Non-slip water shoes should be required. Our guide did have a small waterproof bag for phones, which helped, but more info upfront would’ve made a big difference. I had envisioned a full bus tour with a scenic trail and maybe a spot to lay out on a towel. Instead, it felt more like the kind of casual place locals take out-of-town friends for a quick dip. The drive itself is about 45 minutes each way, the hike to the small 8ft waterfall was like 20 minutes and the "excursion" was like 1 hour. Not ideal for anyone with balance or mobility concerns. It’s a pretty spot, but the experience didn’t match the description.
