Some education and a lot of fun! - This was a great tour for newbies! We saw so many fish and we not only saw a sea turtle, but we got to swim with it for a while! Andrea, our guide, was great and very informative. This was the best part of our trip!

wouldn’t book, didn’t show up - My tour was scheduled for 9am on August 7th and the facility was closed. I arrived 15 minutes early, walked all around the building, and called twice and left a voicemail but no one answered and the window to the shop was closed. Called Tripadvisor who also couldn’t get a hold of them on the day, but opened a case so I could receive a refund. Received a refund about a week later.

Amateurs and low energy - The only scuba center not allowed to carry activities. That says a lot. Especially with the extreme disorganization between the three different locations. Time to shut down if things don’t improve. Too many kiddos working there without experience. It shows from when you speak with them to the very tours and lack of energy when they send you to the south side shop. Everyone seems scared and unhappy to work there

False advertisement - There is no experience the company said they could not take us out because they lost their permit and do not have a permit to take us out snorkeling they said they would charge us to rent the snorkeling gear and show us where to go. That is not what we paid for so we would like our refund that was still charged for the full price. We did not snorkel and they did not provide transportation to a spot to snorkel.

What a rip off! Don't waste your money here. - Scuba Dogs is a little more money than other vendors, but we picked it cause it said it was 2 hours. That is a misrepresentation. As is the actual cost, there are extra fees that other tours don't seem to have. I am not an unreasonable person - I do understand that for some people coming for the tour, having the statement that it is a 2 hour time commitment would be helpful...but what is needed from Scuba Dogs is a breakdown of the time and for them to make it clear that the tour (as they told me after they had our money with no refund options) is 30 to 45 min only. the rest of the time is suiting up, walking, talking, etc...and just getting done a half hour early. After a fairly expected and normal 20 minutes to get in gear the guide told us that the little protected area where they normally go had a stinging algae and they didn't want to take us in there. We appreciated that (one reason to pay a guide, they know the area). I asked how the turtles were (meaning are they out and about), and the guide simple said turtles in the are happy - nothing more. We headed out walking barefoot across a hot sidewalk, through sharp rocks and a field (along the way I pointed out broken glass to my kids so they wouldn't get cut), repeatedly turning around because the guide was lost and we spent 20 minutes wandering around trying to find another area to enter the water. The guide did apologize; had the rest of the tour been great, we would have forgotten the literally rocky start. When we finally got to water, the guide explained we would swim to that buoy, then along the line of ropes, and circle back, and that we needed to stick together. We did as we were instructed, which meant when we were motioned to move on we did - and were very surprised when the guide brought us back to the start and said 'well, that's it' after ONLY a Half Hour in the water. Since there was still an hour left in our tour slot I asked if we could stay out a bit longer - the guide said 'sure just give me your gear your welcome to stay out here as long as you want'....I then pointed to my watch and asked 'don't we have another hour with the gear?' - the response was 'well, i can give you 15 more minutes out here' and implied that the gear needed to back and cleaned up by 11 (for the next tour at noon...hmmm). Did I mention there were no turtles - and the fish were meh. I hired a guide to take me where I can't go on my own. Oh, and when we got back there were plenty of people in the algae lined lagoon swimming and snorkling (don't know if they ended up 'stung') We talked with the person running the place that day...and they implied there was fine print somewhere that made it just fine for them to represent the tour as 2 hours, ask us to leave after 30 minutes, act like they were being SO lenient when we got 15 more minutes. Anyway, everyone in my group was very displeased. It was well more than chump change that was basically thrown to sea that morning.
