Bioluminescent Kayaking! - This tour is so wonderful! The bioluminescent bay is absolutely out of this world amazing! It is unlike anything you have ever seen, and I am so glad this tour was able to connect us with it. The kayaking itself is magical, with portions that are a bit more self-guided and then also portions where a guide is telling you all about the bay and how the bioluminescence works. It is so informative and wonderful. Our kayaking guide named Kruse (I hope I am spelling that correctly!) was delightful, funny, and so knowledgeable. I loved hearing about the conservational efforts to maintain the wonder of the bay. Additionally, having round-trip transportation from San Juan is SO nice. You are certainly able to get to Vieques on your own accord, but the ease of transportation is worth the cost of this tour. Our guide Rafael was prompt and kind through the very long day.

Brilliant Bioluminescence! - We wanted to experience Vieques and the bioluminescence during our brief stay Puerto Rico. And this excursion was the perfect opportunity! It was a long day, but one filled with adventure and wonder. Our guide Rafael was friendly, fun, and punctual. Everything happened according to the itinerary, and the other attendees were very friendly and easygoing. The highlight of the trip was kayaking in the bioluminescence bay. It was absolutely spectacular. The guide was passionate about the ecology, and so knowledgeable. Very minor considerations- we did not receive final confirmation until the night before departure. Also, our kayaks were glass bottom (super cool!), but not completely transparent like we saw online. However, I would absolutely do this again. Thank you Rafael!

Once in a lifetime!! - This experience lived up to its high standards. Staff to great care of us making sure we were comfortable during our day trip to and from Bio Bay. The Bay was incredible!! Staff were extremely knowledgeable and amazing guides. Not only did we learn so much about how the bay thrives and supports wild life, but we also learned about how it impacts our existence and what locals are doing to protect and see it flourishes! Although it was alot of travel in 1 day it was fun to experience wild horses, Mofongo delicacy, and prehistoric bio Bay wildlife. Extremely grateful that Puerto Ricans are so passionate about protecting and preserving the bay for the world to learn from! Highly recommend doing this truly a lifetime experience I'll never forget...

Bio Bay Excursion - The transportation was efficient and comfortable. We felt the time at each location was sufficient. The Beach was beautiful. The food at Bananas in Malencon was fast and delicious. The kayaking was relaxing, and informative regarding the history and importance of the bay. Would definitely recommend!

Same day Vieques tour rocks! - This one day excursion is great if you don’t want or have time to stay overnight in Vieques. Everything was seamless from pickup to drop-off. Rafael was our guide for the day, and he was punctual, friendly, but also firm when it came to keeping people on time. Sun Bay Beach was delightful and Rafael had snacks and drinks for us as well! Dinner in Esperanza was yummy and also time friendly, since the kayaking bio Bay excursion place was right down the street from where we ate. Rafael was also reassuring when it came time to leave our bags before kayaking- because we had already spent a good part of the day with him and had established rapport, so when he said he would stay with our bags and watch them, we trusted him and we weren’t let down. It was a long day, but we were prepared and I would highly recommend this!

Good Tour, Great way to explore Vieques in you're short on time. - Good Tour with Rafael. Easy hotel pickup, all buses, ferries, and tickets included. About an hour drive to ferry, about an hour ferry ride to Vieques, then a great beach afternoon in Sun Bay with the horses (and a beer!) followed by time for dinner and then the Bio Bay. Unfortunately we were these too close to the full moon, so we didn't get the "magical" experience you should get during a new moon, but it was still a must see. Do it all in reverse, and it's about a 12 hour day from pickup to drop off.

Long Day but the kayaking was awesome - We took the tour leaving from San Juan and it was a very long day. The original tour states 3pm, but it was actually a 12:30pm pick up. We rode in an extremely uncomfortable packed van for over an hour to the ferry. We waited there for the ferry for another hour. The ferry ride was about 40 minutes long and that was a decent ride. Then you get in another packed van for another hour ride to Sun Bay beach where you stay for about 45 minutes. There is no where to change at the beach as it is pretty remote. The driver had a cooler with a couple cups of cut fruit, oreos, beer and water. once you leave the beach you head to the little town of Esperanza about 10 minutes away. There you can have supper at one of the few places available and explore the area. I got some amazing sunset pictures here, so take some time to enjoy that. We were there for about 2 hours on our own and then meet to walk over to JAK Watersports for the tour. We were given a life jacket and there was a very small porta potty to try change in. We then took a bus to the beach again and it is VERY dark, no lights to walk from the parking lot to the landing where you get in the kayak. No need to wear water shoes as they make you take them off for the kayaking anyways because shoes scratch the glass bottom boats. We kayaked for about an hour and then back on the bus and everything in reverse, minus the 2 hour stay in Esperanza. The ferry leaves Vieques at 930pm on the button, but the ride was the car and passenger ferry, so took about 15 minutes longer. We were back in San Juan by about 11:45pm. The kayaking itself was amzing and the guide was very well informed. It was impossible to get pictures or video to do the experience justice.
