Spiritual Rebirth - What an amazing and authentic experience. We were contacted by the host a couple of days before and they gave us everything we needed to know exactly where to go. Since transportation can be a bit tricky getting to/from Mexico City, they offered to set us up with a driver. We happily accepted the offer and are very glad we did! The price for the driver was very fair and he generously took us to the pyramids before the experience and lunch after. The ceremony itself was wonderful, I was the only tourist in the group and the rest local. The ceremony was entirely in Spanish - if you don’t speak it, please don’t let that deter you. The magic will absorb into your body and spirit regardless. The hosts were extremely kind and welcoming! Be prepared for an intense experience, that is the entire point of temazcal. You will feel lighter, your body will move easier, your skin softer! As far as the spirituality aspect, it’s up to you!

An unforgettable experience. - Very impressive and rather extraordinary experience, authentic and intense. I was cordially welcome (although the ceremony was in Spanish, the organizers and the shamans tried their best to translate the most important parts for us). The temazkal itself was rather demanding, both physically and mentally. Although there were only a few foreigners amongst many local people, I was fully included in the whole ceremony and participated in it actively from the beginning to the very end. An unforgettable experience.
