Excellent Tour of Teotihuacan and Environs - Local Vibes arranged an excellent custom private tour of Teotihuacan and its environs for me, my husband and a friend in June 2025. It included walking around major areas of the site, the site museum, lunch at a nearby market, and commentary on neighborhoods and sites we passed on the way to and from Teotihuacan. I'm an archaeologist and was interested in more in-depth info about the site than many tourisits would want. Diana, our English-speaking tour organizer, was easy to communicate with online before our trip to arrange our customized tour. Our trilingual guide, Vladimir, was a highly knowledgeable historian who helped us understand not only Teotihuacan but also areas of Mexico City we passed along the way to the site. Our driver, Rodrigo, was excellent, too, helping my friend practice her Spanish on the ride back to the city.

Best way to tour Teotihuacan - We were picked up promptly at 7 am by Edgar who drove to Teotihuacan. He was a great driver and friendly. We met up with Julia on site and from there had a fantastic 3 hours. Julia is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her subject. It was a great tour.

Amazing Tours of Teotihuacan & Anthropology Museum - My husband and I were fortunate enough to take two tours with Local Vibes Mexico- the Teotihuacan + Hot air balloon ride and Anthropology Museum tours. Diana made everything effortless- all we had to do was show up. Additionally, Diana was very patient with all of the questions that I had. Teotihuacan + Hot air balloon ride tour: The tour promptly began at 5:20 am with a return to CDMX at 1 pm. Our tour guide, Cesár, was incredibly informative and struck the balance between my husband (a history buff) and me (a Latin American 101 history course taken over 20 years ago). His background as an archeologist offered an interesting perspective to the pyramids and murals. Our driver, Edgar, was a fantastic and incredibly pleasant. The hot air balloon ride, with Aventura en Globo, was incredible. The sight of the pyramids from above was unreal and the ballon ride was so smooth. Anthropology Museum tour: Our guide, Rosa, was fantastic. She was sure to show us the highlights of the main rooms. Additionally, we gained a good understanding of the timelines for the main Mexican civilizations. Without Rosa, the museum would have been pretty overwhelming given the wealth of artifacts and information.

Exceptional, gimmick free tour! - A great experience! Driver Samuel was excellent, on time, safe and very comfortable car. Clara was outstanding! She was very knowledgeable from the ride over ( which made the ride go quickly) to the descriptions and history of Teotihuacan. Overall a wonderful experience and we highly recommend.

A great day out - A great experience start to finish. Initial contact and payment process with Diane was seamless and easy. Driver Edgar was a great guy. Showed up on time to pick us up @ hotel and was very good on the 1 hour drive of pointing out some key items on the route. For the remainder of the day our tour guide Vlad was awesome. Polite, knowledgeable and informative. A wealth of information related to the history of the country and specifically to Teotihuacan. The whole team and the whole experience was top notch. If the budget allows, take the private tour and do the ballon ride. Such a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this company for your Teotihuacan tour.

Teotihuacan Pyramids with the Best! - 100% happy and grateful for this experience. We are so glad we had half a day outside of the city in such a cool, special place! Private tour with Edgar (our driver) and Vladimir (our tour guide) was exceptional. Edgar picked us up from our hotel and drove us to Teotihuacan where we met up with Vladimir. Vladimir is an awesome guide, very knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend time with. If you can spare half a day, book this trip! I can't wait to build more on the knowledge we learned today. How often do you get to experience pyramids!? Bucket list item ✅ Edgar got us back to our hotel swiftly and safely! We can't be more appreciative. Thank you Edgar and Vladimir!

Understandable Lesson on a Complicated Historical Site - Rosa Maria our guide and Christian our driver were marvelous hosts on this tour to Teotihuacan. Other tour companies offered to stop at a farm, but we preferred to concentrate on the tour of the ruins. I had visited Teotihuacan decades ago while in Mexico at summer school and Rosa Maria pointed out what had changed at the sights since then. She offered informative charts that we took pictures of and in-depth information (while not getting too "stuck in the weeds"). Even en route from Mexico City Rosa Maria pointed out fascinating facts about the area including the public gondolas in the State of Mexico. High recommend!

Teotihuacan is a must! - Joseph was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing the history of Teotihuacan and the people of Mexico. It was a stunning and incredible site to see and learn about, even more impressive than we realized. Having a private tour was great, as we went at our pace and weren't waiting on a large group. I'd recommend Joseph for this tour to anyone!

Comfortable ride, great driver, but too pricey overall for a very average guided tour - We had such high hopes for this excursion and imagined, from the price and the reviews, an intimate exchange with a guide with formal study in this area. The positives: the driver was professional and paid complete attention to the road. He and the guide arrived on time, and the trip (in a very clean Suburban) from Condesa to the Teotihuacan was comfortable and pleasant. Our guide, however, delivered content in such a garbled and disjointed manner that we could not follow his stories. Additionally, minimal context, historical findings, or speculation were provided when walking the grounds and looking at ruins -- we had to probe him for information and detail. Only by overhearing other guides who made the past come to life for other groups did we realize what we were missing and therefore what questions we should ask him [our guide]. This quickly became a chore, especially as the day became hot. The next day, when we went to the Museum of Anthropology in CDMX, we had even greater confirmation of how much misinformation and lack of detail we had received the day before. For the price, our specific tour guide was exceptionally amateurish, but the driver and vehicle were fine.
