Eagle’s Nest helps you find magic - Eagle’s Nest is truly a magical place that I absolutely loved! From the breathtaking location perched on top of the mountain to the vibrant jungle surroundings, every moment felt like a dream. The vibe is unmatched—it attracts such an inspiring, open-minded group of people who add to the unique energy of this retreat.
The food was incredible, full of fresh and flavorful options that nourished both the body and soul. The activities offered, like yoga, sound baths, and other wellness experiences, are thoughtfully curated to help you connect with yourself and the natural world. It’s a space where you can truly unwind, rejuvenate, and feel inspired.
The staff deserve a special mention—they are warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about creating an unforgettable experience for guests. Getting to know them added so much depth to my stay, and their care and dedication really shine through in every aspect of the retreat.
While being nestled in the jungle means you’ll have an authentic, raw experience (yes, even with a few jungle visitors in your room), it’s all part of the charm. If you’re looking for a luxurious yet grounding retreat with stunning views, beautiful people, and enriching activities, Eagle’s Nest is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to return!

Astonishing views, incredible experience - The views were absolutely unreal. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, surrounded by some of the most beautiful energy and vibes. Took a vinyasa flow yoga class with an instructor from Belgium named Anna who was so kind and helpful. Everyone we have encountered here has been spectacular. This place is a hub for different cultures which is very neat too.

Worth it just for the view - A must try if you’re near Santa Marcos. Eagles Nest has diverse class offerings and the view can’t be beat

Incredible views but unfortunately got sick for 48 hours - The location is INCREDIBLE and the views are amazing. It’s definitely worth visiting for a yoga class just for the views.
However, sadly my visit of 7 days was disappointing.
Firstly I got sick, extreme V&D for 48 hours, along with 5 others also staying there. I hadn’t been anywhere else and I don’t believe it was the food as we all got sick at different times/days. We were all staying for between 3-7 days so it gave us time to realise it was something at Eagles Nest making us ill. Not everyone stays for that long so they may think it was elsewhere that caused it
We think it was possibly the compost toilets not being well maintained/cleaned and hate to say but possibly E.Coli which took us all down. There were 2 compost toilets for the majority of the rooms/guests/visitors, no hot water to wash hands and a lot of flies.
I was there for a week and my bed didn’t get changed/made or room cleaned during that time.
The centre is open to the public so it didn’t feel like an intimate experience. You couldn’t get away from people, there was always “outsiders” walking around the grounds taking photos of the incredible views (fair enough) but it wasn’t relaxing because of this.
Out of the 7 days, the electricity wasn’t working for 3 of them. No lights/charging devices or WiFi in rooms. When the electricity is out it also means no hot water for showers.
I mentioned to the member of staff about my sickness at the end of my stay and he apologised but didn’t appear to be surprised.
It’s a real shame as it’s such a lovely location and it has so much potential. The staff are very friendly and the yoga classes are lovely.
I don’t like positing negative reviews but I think it’s important for people to be aware of the potential illness.
