- Cava dei Balestrieri - Located just a short walk from the cable car stop, the Cava dei Balestrieri is a significant historical site. Initially used in the late 19th century as a quarry for materials and stone extraction for the restoration of the nearby Palazzo Pubblico, it was later proposed by architect Gino Zani in 1935 to be the site for a new Palazzo degli Uffici. However, this plan was abandoned after the bombings of 1944 during World War II, leaving only the high base that now forms part of the Monument to the Fallen.
- Palazzo Pubblico - This building was reconstructed in a neo-gothic style in 1894, designed by architect Francesco Azzurri, on the foundations of the older “Magna Domus Communis.” It underwent restoration in 1996 by architect Gae Aulenti. It is a central location for the people of San Marino, housing the Captains Regent, the Great and General Council, the State Congress, and hosting significant civil events.
- Basilica del Santo Marino - Erected in the early 19th century on the site of a former Romanesque church, this basilica is adorned with statues and valuable paintings. The statue of San Marino, crafted by Adamo Tadolini, a favored student of Canova, stands prominently, and the high altar contains the urn with the saint’s relics.
- Orti Borghesi San Marino - Created by the numismatist and naturalist Bartolomeo Borghesi, the Orti Borghesi is a serene green garden featuring a lovely fountain. The outdoor terrace offers a panoramic 360-degree view of the Romagna coast and the Marche inland, making it perfect for buffets.
- Guaita Tower - This is the oldest fortress in San Marino, dating back to before the 11th century. It was expanded and renovated over various periods, reaching its peak significance in the 15th century during the war against the Malatesta of Rimini (1463), the last conflict involving San Marino citizens as allies of the dukes of Urbino and the Papacy. It served as the headquarters of the Guardia di Rocca in 1754 and functioned as a prison until 1975.
- Passo Delle Streghe - Crossing the Passo delle Streghe offers a stunning and unparalleled view.
