- Oratorio of San Felipe Neri - Visit one of San Miguel’s oldest churches, dating back to 1712, featuring a blend of Baroque and indigenous styles. Explore the chapels hidden behind the wall.
- Botica de Santa Teresita - Visit San Miguel’s oldest pharmacy and take a look at the original medicinal bottles from the 1880s. You might even spot one of the pharmacy’s famous dogs!
- Doce 18 - Also known as Casa Cohen and Noah’s Ark, this renowned San Miguel building features animals carved in stone supporting the balconies. It now houses boutique shops and restaurants.
- El Jardin - San Miguel’s main square, akin to a formal public living room. It’s the place to see and be seen. If there’s an event happening in town, it’s likely taking place here.
- Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel - San Miguel’s most iconic building, featuring a pink Gothic church facade completed in 1890. Take a peek inside and observe the rope that rings the bells every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day.

Excellent guide even for children - One of the best tours we've ever done. Vail is a very good guide, but she is also a teacher and very good with children. My daughters were delighted with the tour, super complete and with books so they could follow the information. She knows every corner of the city and has the best tips. Highly recommended.

Perfect family-friendly activity! - We had the best day in San Miguel de Allende thanks to Vail. She somehow created this totally custom experience for our multigenerational crew — ages 4 to 77 — that blended a scavenger hunt, a food tour, and a full city adventure, and it worked beautifully for every single person.
Vail came prepared with these adorable, super-thoughtful guide booklets and crayons filled with facts, puzzles, and games. Our kids (and the adults too) were still playing with them long after the tour ended. It added such a special touch and made everyone feel included and excited.
She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient with our endless questions, and so engaging. And the food stops… incredible. Every bite was delicious and felt authentically SMA.
This was the perfect family activity — fun, stress-free, memorable, and a great way to explore the city together. Truly cannot recommend Vail and her tour company highly enough. If you’re coming to San Miguel with a group, this is the tour you want. Absolute 10/10!

Very informative and fun tour for all ages! - Our family very much enjoyed the tour given by Vail. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything we saw on the tour. Our 8 year old grandson loved the tour and interaction with Vail. Would highly recommend the tour with Vail no matter what age you are!

San Miguel with teenage kids - This was a great tour with Vail. I had a family of 3 teenagers. Vail adjusted the tour for our family, very informative. I especially liked she texted the day before the tour and reviewed where to meet and time. San Miguel is colorful, artsy with lovely people.

Wonderful and engaging! - Fantastic tour! Vail came with so much to interest and engage the kids (10 year old twins) and adults. I learned a lot and saw wonderful things; highly highly recommend this tour if you come with kids of all ages.

Best Family tour in San Miguel - I would highly recommend this tour to anyone with children or even those without kids. Vail was full of information and fun facts for adults and kids alike. If I could give it 6 stars I would.
