Well worth your time - Geronimo was so passionate and informed about Mexican food and cooking and how different foods impact the body, together with the delicious and plentiful dishes that tasted so good from simple ingredients, that he changed my mind about Mexican food. I was never a big seeker of Mexican food because where I live, there are only your standard Mexican servings that are kind of bland and not bad but not great. Now I realize there is a lot more to Mexican food, a lot of pride and good flavors. The market shopping was a good way to see something local too. Highly recommend!

We learned so much about the island, the country, the food and....we ate like we were at a gourmet restaurant!!!!!!! - We met Jeronimo at the Juan Benito Juarez statue at exterior of Mercado Municipal. This gentleman was so informative and interesting, explaining the history of different foods in market and the uses. He discussed with us to give us options for our cooking class, asking us what we like to personalize our experience. Then, we headed to his kitchen where tiny but powerful Angie was there to greet us. She was always busy, prepping, cooking, cleaning as we went! Jeronimo was explaining everything, always happy to answer all our many questions!!!!!! He loves his country, so proud to share and making us feel so special! O, and the food was 5 star!!!! Honestly, any fine dining restaurant would serve this, easily!!!!!! Angie even made the Marguerita from scratch, and the juice.

Excellent food cooked from scratch - We met at the market, picked out the dinner items, and headed over for a gourmet meal. Jeronimo is an excellent chef and showed us how to properly clean the peppers and how to make excellent guacamole. We made a chicken mole, vegetables, tortillas and capped it all off with excellent margaritas. We would highly recommend the tour for people looking to do something different in Cozumel

Cozumel cooking class - Jeronimo was fantastic! Very knowledgeable about the Mexican culture and how to cook with natural local ingredients. I am a very picky eater but he had me trying everything. The food was incredible. I can’t wait to come back to Cozumel and cook with Jeronimo again!

Excellent experience of local culture - We met Jeronimo at the local Mercado and decided what to prepare. We then shopped for the ingredients and he explained how to select the best freshest ingredients for tacos el pastor. We arrived at the home kitchen and were immediately seated for explanations of what we would be preparing. The process was so instructive and comfortable, we helped to chop squash for a pico de gallo and were served a beautiful drink of hibiscus tea. We each were able to make our own tortillas that were used for our tacos, which were delicious. The amount of food provided was excellent and well worth the price of this adventure. Such an enriching experience with very knowledgeable and proud locals, highly recommend it.

Excellent day trip - Very personal experience! Extremely knowledgeable host Jeronimo! Highly recommend for great food and fun with friends or family! We learned much about all the ingredients and how to make each recipe ( which we received later plus many other recipes included )! Jeronimo and Angie (his sister from another mother) were excellent hosts to our group of 5! Everything was delicious! Made our own tortillas too :)
