Animals in natural habitat, come hungry - We really enjoyed our day trip to Phillip island, and our guide, Mike was amazing. He was professional, accommodating and ensured the needs of the group were met. The coach was clean and safe, and the usb charging ports were a nice bonus. There was plenty of space for everyone. The highlights were definitely the koalas (worth the fee) and penguins. The shopping plaza at the penguin parade pavilion had lots of nice souvenirs from indigenous people, among other expected items. We enjoyed our wine tasting and charcuterie board. We took our pizza to go and enjoyed it later in the day with the champagne at sunset after being quite full from the beautiful grazing board at the wine tasting. The Nobbies were breathtaking, and we enjoyed seeing nature and the wildlife in its native home. The downside was it’s a very long day because you are on the penguins’ schedule. Haha. They didn’t walk until around 21:10 and is related to sunset timing. As such, we weren’t back in Melbourne until after midnight, so plan accordingly. Also, I would recommend skipping the stop in San Remo and allowing people more time to explore Cowes. It would feel less broken up that way, and we would have had more time to enjoy the beach. Bring lots of water, a hat and sunscreen! You can leave your day pack safely on the bus. Overall, the tour is very professional and very well done, and I would recommend for a nice day trip getting outside the city if seeing these creatures is your thing!

Fantastic Experience - This company is the best I have experienced in a long time. Professional, with a fully knowledgeable guide who was extremely helpful and caring to all the passengers in his group. The content of the tour is spread out over a long day due to the penguins not arriving until after dark, I did my research and this tour was definitely the best offered in Melbourne.

Fantastic - Our guide, Yuri, was fantastic. He kept us informed at all times. It was a long day but, ultimately, worth every minute. The wine element was a late substitution due to weather conditions forcing cancellation of the seal tour. This proved very interesting. The Penguin Parade was amazing and well organised. Thank you

Great day! - Our tour guide, Yuri, was wonderful. The day was fun! Everything was well planned, and bus was comfortable with USB charging at every seat. The wine tasting and lunch was great. The koala sanctuary was educational and we were able to get very close to the koalas. The view at the Nobbies was amazing. The penguin parade was a little disappointing as we only saw a handful of penguins, but maybe if we had paid for the upgraded viewing area we could have seen more. We would definitely recommend this tour, and Yuri did a fantastic job.

Definitely a trip not to be missed. - First class experience with tour guide Mike. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. We were uplifted from our chosen pick up point in the city and our first stop was at San Remo for a refreshment break and walk around - the local bakehouse is well worth a visit. From there we crossed over the bridge to Phillip Island and stopped off at a viewpoint with beach and amazing oceans views, with great opportunity for some photography. Thereafter we headed to Phillip Island Winery for a tasting experience and some lunch which gave us as opportunity to get to know the other members of our tour (there were seven of us in total). After this we headed to the optional trip to the koala bear sanctuary which was definitely worth visiting, seeing them in the natural habitat (far better than the trip we did from Sydney to see them at Symbio Park). Finally we stopped off at another viewing point before heading to the penguins (we chose to upgrade to the premium option). This was an experience of a lifetime seeing them emerge from the water at sunset and waddle up the beach to their burrows for the night - definitely the best highlight of my trip to Australia. All in all a great day out with an amazing knowledgable guide who made it even better, amazing scenery and wildlife spotting. Ten out of ten!

Amazing Tour at Philip Island - It was a wonderful experience. We were very glad that we had the wine tasting and lunch. People who went on a boat whereas we went to the tasting— they were famished afterwards. We saw koalas, echidnas, wallabies, endangered birds. Were from the US, it was great to see the animals in their natural environment. Penguins are so adorable. Im glad we booked Local Way Tours

Penguins and Tastings and Views - Oh My! - Beautiful scenery, wine tasting and lunch in a great setting, koalas, echidnas, wallabies and penguins - what else could you ask for! The tour was excellent and Yuri was a great guide and driver - he even had a battery pack to loan me as my phone was going dead and I forgot my backup power! It is a long day but it will go quickly and it’s so worth it!

Penguins were great but... - Penguins were great but not enough time at the viewing site. We also spent a lot of time picking people up. Felt rushed.

Wrong description of tour taking into account amount of children that were on the trip and delayed the trip home。 - The guide Uri was very good and made us on the trip very comfortable. The stops over the day were good. The only drawback was that your business inflicted us with a party of 8 young children and accompanying adults. This to me is not in keeping with the tour titled Boutique Wine and Dine with penguins on Phillips Island. Had we known this, we would have booked another tour. The party were over half an hour late back to the bus and were only based in Cowes. We were subsequently delayed back to Melbourne. You should state that this trip advertised on Get My Guide could be mixed with children so people can decide when booking. The word “Boutique” and Children do not go together. Please don’t get me wrong, I have children and have been there but all five of us adults on the trip were disappointed to be “inflicted” with this party and not to be told of this before hand.
