Enjoyable Walking Tour of Central San Salvador - Jerry, our Law Student tour escort was personable and well-informed. It was an easy walking tour in the central of the city and included the beautiful new library, open markets, Liberty Square and the Cathedral. Even a few moments to enjoy a cup of delicious local coffee in the lower level of the library. Highly recommend.

Highlights in San Salvador - A great way to start a trip to San Salvador. Our guide was fantastic and we husbands also lucky enough to see the Christmas market. All the people were super nice and the view from the library terrace was fantastic. The highlight, however, were the colors in the church and the art on the Way of the Cross. There's nothing like it.

A great introduction to San Salvador and El Salvador - Geraldo was a great informative guide who explained the learning environment the new library is fostering, the cathedral with Oscar Romero’s mausoleum, and La Iglesia el Rosario. We also stopped at a popular pupusa place. It was a great way to start our trip. Gracias Geraldo.

Incredible Historic Center Tour - This Tour was really helpful in order to understand more about the history and story of the popular “Centro Histórico de El Salvador”. My guide was Gerardo Gálvez, we visited Iglesia El Rosario, Plaza Libertad, Plaza Gerardo Barrios, Biblioteca Nacional de El Salvador, Catedral de San Salvador. While visiting those places you will also see other places with beautiful sightseeing and architecture, such as the Palacio Nacional and Jardín de Centro America. Every single place you’ll see has a story about how rich El Salvador was and is. I will recommend you to not just focus on El Rosario Church’s Rainbow Glasses, I know that it is so beautiful but that Church has more history to learn about and the other places you will visit too.

What Was Not Written Yet - Im going to write a review that was not written yet otherwise I will be repeating myself among the other. The front big long steel gate entrance facing Plaza Libertad is not the entrance – walk to your right [facing the gate] turn left on the corner and carefully watch the black steel gate entrance of the church on your left among all the other stores [I missed it the first time]. There is $2 fee entrance to the church but its worth it. Visited 11/29/24.
