We had a wonderful time.... - We had a wonderful time. Our guide/driver Gustavo (Gus) was great ! Gave lots of facts and history of the area. As with most of the tours you take there is Tequila and coffee tasting. And a stop at a jewelry location. All interesting. The town of San Sebastian has lots of history.

Such a great day. - This was a really fun day. And the food stop was the best meal I had in Mexico! Would totally recommend this. I bought a bag of coffee at the plantation. Very good.

Outstanding Tour to San Sebastian del Oeste - Vallarta Adventures San Sebastian Our visit to San Sebastian was ⁹a fun day provided by Vallarta Adventures.  Check--in was smooth and easy and we rode in a very comfortable 15 passenger VW van. Vallarta Adventures rearranged some passengers to a second van so 10 of us were able to stretch out during the ride. Franco our guide, and Julian our driver, were both professional and friendly which made the day.  Franco shared much information about not only San Sebastian but Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco and Mexico in a fun and informative manner all while riding backwards in the passenger seat!  Franco took us off the highway to show us blue and green agave plants, different fruit trees like cashew apples (delicious!) and a couple of villages.  Both Franco and Julian  assisted our visits to the tequila distillery and the coffee plantation in San Sebastian and the History Museum in San Sebastian.  Franco would share histories of each business and clarify owners' comments.  Julian helped in each with distrubution of samples and cleanup. Our lunch in San Sebastian was delicious.  It was catered by the Vallarta Adventures staff who took over a local restaurant or banquet hall and prepared food and drinks brought in from Puerto Vallarta. All customers commented about the food served and raved about the service. Vallarta Adventures is beginning to offer more tours to Pueblo Magicos.  They know what they are doing.  This was money-and-time well spent!

Amazing day in the mountains - Got picked up and dropped off at our hotel in a AC private Mercedes van which was amazing. our driver and tour guide were amazing and spoke english and spanish. He explained the whole tour agenda and the stops were hitting and in what order. Tour guide explained the whole history of the town we were heading to including the history of the tequilla dispensary and coffee farm we stopped at and saw how the process works and making of the tequilla and coffee including samples, We had lunch at San Sebastian and everything was so delicious and home made. After lunch we got to explore the town and church on our own before heading back to our hotel. Definately was a fun day and so many highlights thru out the tour and great sights.

Very Interesting Tour - This was a great tour with multiple stops. Our driver Fredriko and our tour guide Gustavo were excellent. Be prepared for a lot of walking on very rough roads. The only downside was the van, it was old, dirty and the air conditioning was minimal at best - it was hot!

So so experience if you don’t enter jewelry store - It’s a lot of time in the car which we did not know. Hotel pickup at 840am and got to village at 1145am or so. Long time to go without bathroom break. The restaurant on the tour is incredible as is the little town but the silver shop we went to is apparently filled with con artists. They pressure you into sales and even followed me into town to complete a purchase. Wanted credit card details without having the item in my hands. I’ve decided not to go through with purchase as tripadvisor tells of all the people scammed by this company. Shame on the tour operator for taking tourists here. Very disappointing.

Country side tour with many shopping opportunities - We are on a mother daughter (16 year old) and Aunt trip. Our guide and driver were great. It was nice to get out to the countryside and mountains. We are rating 3 of 5 as we were wanting to have more of a cultural tour and while we saw a lot, in many moments the tour seemed to be more targeted towards buying souvenirs than a cultural tour. Specifically the opal and silver tour had a high pressure sell component (with no printed prices) after a 2 minute spiel on opals. Tequila tour was very informative and we really enjoyed (except our teen).

Poor customer experience - Cannot rate better than a two. I almost wrote don’t waste many hours and your money. Pick up drop off at your hotel sounds wonderful, but very poor logistics! People were spread 10plus miles between hotels. Our seven hour trip became 10 hours! And they promised water in the brochure, but they did not have. The restaurant was very good, the highlight of the trip! The tequila factory an excellent informative presentation, after a few tastes plan to spend some money. A stop at a jewelry store, poor information from owners, simply wanted to sell us things. Repeat excellent restaurant. Very little time in the city of San Sebastian - no time to walk around, maybe a quick photo in the plaza - but no time to explore. Visited the beautiful historic church yet no one could explain anything about it. Stop at Local artisans was interesting, handmade and quality, but yet another place to buy things. Coffee stop, no information so our guide took us through, with limited knowledge. Again a stop to buy something. Really too bad because could be an informative, interesting tour, but it wasn’t. I have never written a bad review on TripA, till today. I always try to share great experiences and cool things I enjoyed and other might too.
