Exceptional wine experience! - This was the BEST tour we have experienced. We’ve traveled with wine destinations many places in the world and this tour was excellent. Mateo was friendly, knowledgeable and fun. He answered our many questions, shared unique experiences, and went out of his way to make our day perfect. I recommend this tour whole heartedly!

Rioja ❤️ - We recently did a private wine tour in Rioja, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to San Sebastián. Our guide, Mateo, was incredibly knowledgeable—not just about wine, but about the entire Rioja region. Each stop was thoughtfully curated, and we never felt rushed. The wine tastings were very generous and paired with delicious local snacks—cheeses, chorizo, bread and olive oil. We also enjoyed a delicious 3 course lunch with a bottle of red. Despite the rainy weather, the scenery throughout the day was stunning. Every detail was taken care of, and we could simply relax and enjoy. If you’re a wine lover, I can’t recommend this enough.

Amazing views, wineries, and host! - This tour was absolutely amazing! The attention to detail from Matteo was fantastic - he provided us with so much information on the history, wineries, and overall Spain! I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a private experience in Rioja!

Matteo was an excellent... - Matteo was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and willing to share. Our tour of the country side was perfect and the wines were top notch. Lunch at our last winery was delicious. I would definitely do another tour with Matteo!!!

A must do! - Mateo was a fantastic guide- very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The van is deluxe and comfortable for the trip. We had amazing wines and took a bunch home. We learned about both the classic and modern approaches to Rioja winemaking, and the lunch was delicious and the wine never ran dry!

The Rioja tour was unforgettable, the wineries that we visited were beautiful and quaint and everyone who we met were very welcoming!

A good day visiting Rioja wineries and hearing about their wines, production and history. - We were based in San Sebastián and were picked up from our hotel lobby. Matteo took us in a very comfortable air conditioned people carrier directly to the Rioja region. The trip was around 2hrs but felt much shorter as we discussed Basque history and the regions winemaking history - along with lots of other stuff!
We visited 3 wineries - none of which we had previously heard of but the staff were lovely and we sampled around a dozen wines🥴 in total. These were from small and medium wineries and were an interesting mix of styles and flavours. Can’t remember much else!😂
Actually we then went to a small village built in an ancient fort and had lunch with great views of the surrounding region - and another bottle of wine!
It’s quite a drive back but got to our hotel around 18:00 after a very enjoyable day. Thanks for the recommendations too Matteo.

Best Private Rioja Wine Tour! - I had the pleasure of attending a private winery tour in the breathtaking Rioja region of Spain from San Sebastian. Matteo drove us to local wineries including winemaking facilities. I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone with an appreciation for fine wine and beautiful landscapes if you visit San Sebastián. It was a private tour so we could spend enough time for tasting and enjoying the lunch time and little walk in the small town. He also recommended us wonderful local restaurants and explained many things about Basque culture!
