Constructed entirely from high-quality Naxos marble, it dates back to the 6th century BC. As the Olympian goddess of agriculture, harvest, and fertility, Demeter had temples built on fertile lands like Sangri.

During this tour, we will visit the Temple of Demeter, constructed in 530 BC, an ancient pottery workshop in the village of Damala that still produces traditional pottery, and then proceed to the three most beautiful and renowned villages of Naxos: Halki, the former center of Naxos, Filoti, the largest village, and Apeiranthos, a traditional village crafted from stone and marble. Please note that the Temple of Demeter is closed on Tuesdays.
