Great tour - Great tour with Gabriel who's an experienced and knowledgeable guide. We started the tour early which gave us more than enough time to reach the top at a comfortable pace while avoiding the heat. We took several breaks during which Gabriel would share information about the volcano and the area. We had a small group which also made it for an enjoyable experience. I suffered a fall but thanks Gabriel's quick thinking, I only had some very minor scratches which he cleaned with his first aid kit. The view from the Volcano was amazing. I did not enjoy the restaurant at the lake but maybe you will, however, the food was good.

I would highly recommend... - I would highly recommend this tour. Helen our guide was so kind and funny. Very informative. The hike it's self wasn't to demanding and worth every step to the top. We then got to have photos and videos done with a drone which was an extra nice touch. We got up and down before most people started showing up which made it feel extra special at the top. I would add this as a must do on your trip !

Great Solo Trip to Santa Ana Volcano - I did the Santa Ana Volcano Hike and Coatepeque Lake tour and Gabriel was my guide. The experience was really good. The views were amazing and the hike felt easy to follow. Gabriel knows the area very well and he is prepared with first aid, which made me feel safe the whole time. He has done this hike many times so I felt comfortable, especially as a solo traveler. I definitely recommend this tour and Gabriel.

My Hiking Experience... - My Hiking Experience It was an awesome and unforgettable conquering experience, but it definitely came with its struggles. Going up the hike, I was very short of breath, so I highly recommend bringing a hiking stick and letting your tour guide know ahead of time that you’ll need one. Don’t forget a water bottle and lots of sunscreen! For me, the most dangerous part was coming down the volcano — the loose rocks made it feel like I could twist my ankle at any moment. I even hurt my knees and was in so much pain, but thankfully my tour guide had some Icy Hot and I took some over-the-counter pain meds, which helped. Despite the challenges, the views from the top were absolutely breathtaking — something you won’t find anywhere else. Still, it was quite the struggle both going up and coming down. Honestly, I don’t know how children and elderly people manage it, because I’m in my mid-30s and I was definitely struggling! The tour guides were awesome, though — they made everyone feel comfortable and supported throughout the hike. And the visit to Lake Coatepeque afterward was the perfect way to relax and take in the beauty of the area.

Volcano hike and lakeside lunch was picture perfect. - Tour guide Gabriel “Gabo” had outstanding knowledge of El Salvador’s history and made walking uphill a most pleasant adventure. Views that could not be beat followed at a lakeside lunch spot. He also offered superb suggestions on other places to visit while in town.

Unforgettable - We had a great tour with Gabriel. He allowed us to go at our own pace and didn’t rush us. He also knew a lot about El Salvadorian history so it was cool to learn about random facts during our hike. You can tell that he’s very passionate about his job. He made sure we were comfortable at every step. The hike itself was nice.
