DAY 1 – TRANSIT AND SMOOTH IMMERSION

Santa Cruz - The team will greet participants at the designated meeting point in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Following a warm welcome and an introduction to the expedition, the transfer to San José de Chiquitos will commence.

San Jose de Chiquitos - Upon arrival, a guide will lead an interpretative tour of the missionary ensemble of San José de Chiquitos, recognized as a Cultural Heritage site.

Parque Santa Cruz la Vieja - On the way to the protected area, there will be a brief stop in Santa Cruz la Vieja, where the guide will discuss the city’s founding and historical relocation.

Kaa-Iya National Park - Enter the Kaa Iya Integrated Management Natural Area of Gran Chaco.

The team will assist in setting up spaces in the authorized camp. Time will be allocated for settling in and light relaxation.

Kaa-Iya National Park - A symbolic challa ceremony will be conducted to honor and respect the territory, with explanations of its cultural and environmental importance.

Kaa-Iya National Park - At sunset, wildlife watching will be conducted with specialized staff, who will guide a controlled tour by vehicle and strategic observation points.

During the activity:

• Traces and indirect signs of fauna will be explored
• The behavior of key species will be explained
• Observations will be documented in a log
• Direct sightings are not guaranteed, as the experience respects the ecosystem’s natural dynamics.

DAY 2 – SCIENTIFIC HEART

Kaa-Iya National Park - A guided walk along designated paths will take place.
The following will be observed:

• Night sounds
• Insects and minor fauna
• Ecological dynamics at night
• The activity will be supervised under security protocols.

DAY 3 – SOFT CLOSURE AND CONTEMPLATION

Kaa-Iya National Park - San Lucia lagoon and natural pools
Time for contemplation, landscape observation, and photography will be provided.
The guide will explain:

• Ecosystem formation
• The importance of water in the Chaco
• Flora and fauna adaptations

Kaa-Iya National Park - The expedition will conclude with a closing ceremony.

Santa Cruz - Departure from ANMI Kaa Iya.
A rest stop will be made at either:

• Valley of the Moon or
• Viewpoint Ñuflo de Chávez.
  The return journey will then continue.
