Great - We had a great experience even though I do not like bugs. We saw an ocelot from afar, an owl, and an armadillo. We also saw some cool spiders and our tour guide mauricio was great!

We highly recommend this... - We highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking adventure. Brandon was our tour guide and he was funny, informative and made our kids feel relaxed about hiking in the dark. We would not have been able to spot any of the animals or insects on our own. Ask for Brandon if you decide to book this tour.

Special experience - We really enjoyed it. It was a special experience to be in the rainforest at night. The family who own and take care of the forest take great pride in their work and conservation efforts. Olman was our guide and he was very informative and did his best to locate animals and plants for us. We saw many insects, tarantulas, sloths and other animals.

Cool experience - We saw several frogs and spiders, tarantula, leaf cutter ants, scorpio, armadillo skin and a sloth (!). No guarantee of seeing animals in tours like this but we did, and I was impressed by our guide Olman’s knowledge on where to find the different species.

Worth it, as advertised. Bring a flashlight but take theirs when offered. - This was not a private night hike, but it may as well have been as we had a group of eight and only one other person with us. We were on private property, but it most certainly would never have mattered. We were in the jungle, in the dark, and had a fabulous time. The trails are not terribly rugged, however, I would strongly recommend bringing one of the flashlights provided. Our headlamps were either focused enough to look at the trees, not strong enough to be of the same use as the handheld lights provided. We did have the opportunity to see numerous tarantulas, a fruit-eating bat (nearly struck us as it released from the branch at ~face height), fireflies, and a two toed sloth with a baby on its chest. We all had a great time and would not hesitate to recommend.

My guide Blando was... - My guide Blando was fantastic. Very welcoming, funny, and knowledgeable. The tour itself is very slow paced as you wait around a bit to see if an animal will move/reveal itself. I think the tour is especially interesting for those with a passion for bugs

Okay. Not spectacular. - I would say that this tour was, at best, OK. We saw tarantulas and other bugs, some sleeping frogs and birds. We did see a Kinkajou from a distance running down a tree trunk. But in general, the whole tour had a "canned" feel.

Disappointing... - Hit and miss depending on the tour guide. Area of the night walk doesn't have lots of wildlife, so don't expect a lot or one might be disappointed.
