Join our Canyon Road walking tour to familiarize yourself with the area, gain local insights, uncover the intriguing history of Santa Fe and the Canyon Road Art District, and receive guidance on art analysis.

- We will be walking about 3/4 of a mile. Please wear comfortable shoes.
- Santa Fe is hot and dry in the summer and can be cold and snowy in the winter. Please dress appropriately and bring bottled water with you.
- Canyon Road is a historic area with uneven sidewalks. Many of the galleries have steps between interior rooms. If you have mobility restrictions, please contact us directly so that we can discuss options with you.
- Public restrooms are limited on Canyon Road. Please use the restroom before arriving for the tour.

We will meet at Wiford Gallery, located at 403 Canyon Road. Free street parking is available along Canyon Road, Delgado Street, and Alameda Street.

The perfect place to start - Our walking tour was a perfect introduction to Santa Fe. With over 200 galleries, where does one begin? We were so happy we found Elaine. The tour was perfectly curated. The galleries she selected spotlighted gems that we likely would not have found ourselves, and she sprinkled in history of the region along the way. We left empowered and excited to discover more.

We booked this tour based... - We booked this tour based on its amazing reviews, and they were right! Our tour size was just 4 very interested people. Our guide, Elaine, was knowledgeable, organized, interesting, and friendly. We visited some lovely galleries, had fun learning to interpret art pieces, and enjoyed stories about the history of the area. It was the perfect introduction to Canyon Road.

Can't go wrong by booking this! - This tour is awesome and Elaine is very friendly and fun to talk to! Her knowledge of the art and the area is very helpful and she answers any questions to help broaden your own knowledge of the art & Santa Fe area. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to get a fuller experience of exploring Canyon Road!

Fun Art Overview - What a great experience! As several of the others on this small tour, I enjoy art, but don’t know much about it. Elaine led a great group tour and we learned a lot. This was an engaging and fun way to see a bit of the amazing art on Canyon Road.

Guide Mary had great... - Guide Mary had great commentary on Canyon Road, history of Santa Fe and gave us thought provoking ways of looking and appreciating art. It was interactive which is a nice way to keep group engaged.

Very special experience - As a guy who works with people exploring their own personal depth, this tour with Elaine took me by surprise. Really good teachers of anything help one connect with meaning and depth, same thing really, and as we walked around and looked and listened, I had a visceral sense of history and creativity, formed and informed by that history. I could have gone on for hours and came away seriously enriched.

A Highlight of Our Trip to Santa Fe - My wife and I visited Santa Fe for the first time and we had a wonderful tour experience with Elaine, who shared some of the history of Canyon Road and took us to a handful of galleries specializing in historic and contemporary art. It was truly fascinating and we learned so much. Highly recommend for anyone interested in exploring the area.

Must do Santa Fe Art Tour - This was a great tour. Elaine was a wonderful tour guide. She gave us a new appreciation for the art and we even learned how to look at and interpret different pieces of art. She is so knowledgeable and able to bring the history of the art alive too. I think this is a must do when visiting Sante Fe.

This was my second tour... - This was my second tour with Canyon Rd. Art and History Walking Tour and I enjoyed it as much as the first in 2019. Mary was a great host full of interesting facts about NM culture and the information and connections to the galleries and art were a real plus.
