Fantastic Tour of Sante Fe focused on some of its history and the writings of Willa Cather - This tour was so fun and informative! If you're a Willa Cather fan it's a must and even if you're not it can be a great introduction to her and lots of Sante Fe history! I would recommend reading Death Comes for the Archbishop first as it makes for much more interesting conversation! Garrett is clearly an expert and we can't wait to read his book. He leads a great, energetic and convivial tour. Highly recommend!

Willa Cather Santa Fe Style - Lucky for us, my husband and I were able to score a spot on Garrett Peck's Willa Cather Walking Tour when we were in Santa Fe last week. What a meaningful way to deep dive into Santa Fe from a literary perspective. This tour set the color and mood for the rest of our visit. Garrett is a Cather Super Fan, as are we though you don't need to be on this tour. He showed up with priceless photos and copies of Cather's Santa Fe letters, which we read at different Cather locations around town. Garrett is time traveler who led us back to the period when Cather researched her magnificent book from a room at La Fonda Hotel. He invited and answered all our questions. He attends Cather conferences with his own papers in hand that make this great writer accessible to a general audience. He packed a lot into the tour, and my husband and I ate it all up.

Fascinating look at Santa Fe’s past - I joined Garrett’s tour in early August 2024. Garrett is a great guide, very knowledgeable and personable and solicitous of his clients. The tour uses Cather’s book Death Comes for the Archbishop as a way of introducing us to the fascinating history of this area. He has historic photos of Cather and Santa Fe to illustrate the changes wrought by history. This tour is highly recommended for anyone interested in history and culture.
