Transfer from Puno to Chivay (Colca)

Laguna Lagunillas - A stop is made to admire this beautiful natural lake, home to various Andean birds typical of the Natural Reserve.

Patahuasi - Another brief stop to enjoy a coca tea or use the restroom in this quaint town surrounded by pristine nature.

Abra Patapampa - A wonderful experience with a breathtaking view of the volcanoes, including active ones like Sabancaya, as well as the majestic snow-capped mountains and melting ice.

Chivay - Upon reaching the main town, guests are dropped off at their hotel. The afternoon is free, and instructions from the agency will be provided for the next day’s excursion to the Canyon and subsequent travel to Arequipa.

Chivay to Colca Canyon to Arequipa

Mirador Cruz del Condor - Departure from the Chivay hotel is around 6:30 AM with luggage, as the journey continues until reaching Arequipa in the afternoon. The first stop is this traditional viewpoint to witness the condor’s flight and enjoy the stunning landscape and the canyon’s depth.

Mirador Antahuilque - Visit another traditional viewpoint to admire the high Andean terraces surrounding the Colca Valley.

Maca - A traditional village where visitors can experience local traditions, sample typical drinks like the Colca Sour, or take photos with trained eagles or camelids.

Hot Springs Chacapi - Optional visit to the hot springs; the route also passes through Yanque, where typical dances may be observed depending on the travel date.

Chivay - Return to Chivay for a group lunch with the guide.

Arequipa - The final stop, where guests can enjoy the charm of Arequipa for the remainder of their stay. Brief stops will be made along the way for photos and restroom breaks. Departure from Chivay is around 1:15 PM, with arrival in Arequipa approximately at 5:00 PM, three blocks from the main square.
