The evening is a long event, lasting until 4 or 5 in the morning.
  According to oral tradition, this custom dates back many years. It is said that people would arrive at the cemetery at 11 pm to pray and wait for their deceased to return from beyond at 3 am. Then they would accompany the souls to their homes, where meticulously prepared altars awaited, filled with the things they enjoyed most in life. It is a moment of reunion and remembrance, a bridge between the living and those who have passed on.
