Huatulco City Tour - We thoroughly enjoyed our Huatulco City private tour with Javier. He drove us around and showed us all of the scenic spots. He took us to see the lighthouse, Playa La Entrega and we got to see the famous wood carving of "Barbanegra". The highlight of the day was when he took us to a Mezcal tasting bar. We were able to taste several flavors of Mezcal as well as authentic hot chocolate. I was NOT brave enough to eat the "Chapulines" (grasshoppers). He also took us to see a factory store where workers use textile weaving machines to make beautiful tapestries and carpets. Interesting that the colors that are used are derived from different plants. We also saw the church in La Crececita where there is a mural painted on the ceiling of the Virgin Mary. We ended the tour by having lunch at a great spot that Javier recommended to us and we invited him to have lunch with us. What a wonderful day we had. Javier is a great tour guide!

Hualtulco Visit - Manuel did an awesome job. He was very knowledgeable about the facts and history of Hualtalco. The port is pretty. It was too far to go the other town we visited, with the church. The town was very 3rd world. We met a nice local couple there who demonstrated making tortillas. The mezcal shop we visited in Hualtulco gave us numerous samples. We bought two bottles.
