• Tangolunda Bay - On the way to the archaeological site, there are two brief stops at viewpoints offering the most stunning vistas of Huatulco. The Copalita archaeological site is nestled in the jungle, blending natural beauty with historical significance. Here, visitors can explore pyramid foundations, including the Main Temple, the Snake Building, and the Ball Game Court. A climb to the viewpoint reveals the Bocana, where the Copalita River meets the ocean, and a cliff that was likely used for rituals, ceremonies, and possibly human sacrifices. This area was home to a large population, primarily involved in fishing, with some engaged in agriculture and hunting.
