The Copalita archaeological site is nestled in the jungle, blending natural beauty with historical significance. Here, visitors can explore pyramid foundations, including the Main Temple, the Snake Building, and the Ball Game Court. A climb to the viewpoint reveals the Bocana, where the Copalita River meets the ocean, and a cliff that was likely used for rituals, ceremonies, and possibly human sacrifices. From the park’s summit, one can enjoy a breathtaking view where the Copalita River and the Pacific Ocean converge at the cliff. In this area, visitors will also discover the residential and agricultural terraces that once supported a community of approximately four thousand people.
