Santa Maria - The journey begins with a 5:00 a.m. hotel pickup, followed by a scenic drive through the Sacred Valley, showcasing beautiful landscapes and charming villages. After a brief stop in Ollantaytambo, the drive continues for about an hour to Abra Malaga, the starting point for an exhilarating bike descent. The three-hour descent passes through quaint villages, rivers, and streams, with a short stop in Huamanmarca before reaching Santa Maria for lunch. In the afternoon, participants will enjoy an adrenaline-pumping rafting experience on the Urubamba River, with rapids at levels 3 and 4. After rafting, a minivan will transport everyone to Santa Teresa for check-in at the lodge, dinner, and rest.
Santa Teresa - Aguas Calientes
Banos Termales de Cocalmayo - Following breakfast, the adventure continues with a thrilling 200-meter-high zipline experience, featuring five high, safe, and fast ziplines. Participants are securely harnessed and attached to a double cable spanning two mountains and canyons. The 2,500-meter cable is divided into five sections, with the longest being 600 meters and the highest 180 meters. The maximum speed reaches 70 km/h. After the zipline, the journey proceeds to Hidroeléctrica for lunch, followed by a walk along the train tracks to the town of Machupicchu (Aguas Calientes). Dinner and an overnight stay at a lodge at the base of Machu Picchu conclude the day.
Santa Teresa to Aguas Calientes
Machu Picchu - After breakfast, participants can embark on an exhilarating zipline adventure, soaring 150 meters above the ground. This experience includes five of the highest, fastest, and safest ziplines, with participants securely harnessed and attached by pulley to a double cable anchored between two mountains and canyons. The longest section is 600 meters, and the highest is 180 meters, with a maximum speed of 70 km/h. This adventure is optional but highly recommended for thrill-seekers and those wanting a unique view of the jungle below. Alternatively, participants can opt for a hike instead of the zipline. After the morning adventure, the journey continues to Hydroelectric for lunch, followed by a walk to Machupicchu town (Aguas Calientes). Dinner and an overnight stay at a hostel at the base of Machu Picchu conclude the day.
Machu Picchu - Return to Cusco by train
Machu Picchu - The day starts early at 4:30 a.m. with a hike to Machu Picchu (approximately one and a half hours) to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the ancient city. A guide will provide a two-and-a-half-hour walking tour, offering insights into the design and family living arrangements of this lost city. After the guided tour, participants have free time to explore further or opt to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (an additional USD 50) for a panoramic view of the area. This additional hike takes about 45 minutes and has limited availability, so it is recommended to arrange this activity when booking the adventure. The return journey involves walking back to Aguas Calientes, taking a train to Ollantaytambo, and then a bus ride back to Cusco.
