A Gallant Encounter at Shark Bay – A Total Victory! - Never in the field of holiday excursions has so much been enjoyed, by so many, in just three hours! Our journey began with a "leisurely" departure from the hotel—for in Africa, the noble decree of "No Stress" is the supreme law of the land, and rightly so. We were transported to Shark Bay in a most splendid and sturdy van, providing a grand view of the terrain. Our guide, a lady of formidable biological intellect and burning passion, led the sortie with grace. She was quite simply "top-hole"—knowledgeable, cool-headed, and a credit to her craft. Then, the encounter! The lemon sharks rallied about our legs like eager young recruits, while their larger, more seasoned brethren patrolled the deeper blue further out. A magnificent sight to behold in the flesh! One must, however, arm one’s feet with stout water shoes, as the ground is as stony as a desert battlefield. This three-hour endeavour was a triumph of the spirit. I recommend it with all my heart. Onwards to adventure!

Recommended - Well organized tour with professionally trained guide. When adult sharks are there, the little ones are not there and vice versa. Bathing shoes and swimwear are advantageous, it may be that you stand up to your hips in the water.

A truly shark encounter - Unbelievable experience wading out into the ocean up to your waist having lemon sharks up to 4 feet long swimming up and around you, with no fear of them biting you. A surreal experience well worth the cost of the trip.

Great experience and we learnt a lot - Doing the trip with knowledgable Carla was perfect. We wanted to go with someone protective of the nature and wildlife and with this tour you get that. We saw lots of sharks in all different sizes and learnt a lot. Thank you !

Brilliant Shark Experience - Amazing experience. The Guide Melvin was very knowledgeable and passionate about his work and conservation of sharks and turtles and Cape Verde as a whole. Would definitely recommend a visit. We were lucky to see lots of juvenile sharks and adults sharks in the distance.

Interesting Experience - Angelica was a very knowledgable guide and was very helpful. Like how they let the sharks be in their natural habitat unlike other tours that try to bait sharks. wouldn’t visit if have accessibility issues as it is difficult to walk on slippy rocks.

Not four hours - We saw the sharks and they swam around our feet which was wonderful but we paid for a four hour trip and got two. I’d recommend for people to book a cheaper alternative.

Lack of prior guidance - Half hour experience watching baby sharks in water. We were told shallow waters and no need for swim wear but we got wet all over with the waves!
