The Enchanting Blue Eye and the Mystical Mirage

As a wildlife photographer with a penchant for the extraordinary, I was drawn to the allure of Sal Island’s natural wonders. The journey began with a visit to Buracona, home to the mesmerizing Blue Eye. This natural phenomenon, a cave connected to the ocean, reveals its true beauty when the sun is at its zenith. The sunlight pierces through the water, creating a stunning reflection that resembles a blue eye. Standing there, I was reminded of the rare moments in nature that leave you breathless, much like witnessing a lioness on the prowl or a herd of elephants migrating across the savannah.

The adventure continued to Terra Boa, where the mirage played tricks on the senses. The vast expanse of sand and flat land, interrupted only by the distant brown mountains, created an illusion that was both eerie and captivating.
