Grayton Beach State Park - As you approach mile 7 of the trail, look for the sign indicating Grayton Beach State Park, with the entrance just a mile ahead. This park features stunning beachfront, access to the unique Western Lake, and inviting bike and foot trails. Ride along the park roads to reach the shores of Western Lake, a distinctive coastal dune lake. Enjoy the scenic views and perhaps engage in some birdwatching. The park’s admission fee is $2, but it’s free from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Seaside - After passing Grayton Beach and crossing the Western Lake Bridge, you’ll notice the entrance to WaterColor, offering more shops and dining options. For a scenic detour, turn left onto Watercolor Blvd. to explore this naturally integrated community. The bridge itself is a fantastic spot for photos.
The trail then crosses 30A into Seaside, made famous by “The Truman Show.” Cycle through Central Square to discover food trucks (Airstream Row) and various eateries. Consider exploring Seaside’s charming neighborhoods behind the square, including Ruskin Shops, the Chapel, and iconic pastel homes.

Seagrove Beach - After departing Seaside, around mile 11 of the trail, you’ll soon arrive at Seagrove. Here, you’ll find a small shopping center with several restaurants and shops.

Deer Lake State Park - Beyond Seagrove, watch for Deer Lake, followed closely by the entrance to Deer Lake State Park. The park’s $2 admission fee is not included. This protected area is ideal for biking and exploring unique coastal dune habitats leading to pristine Gulf beaches. Consider a brief detour to experience the stunning natural beauty!
