Upon reaching the summit, there will be time to rest and enjoy the surrounding views. Finally, the descent continues for a few hours to reach the lunch spot and campsite. After lunch, there is free time to relax and spend the second night at about 3,600 meters (Pacaymayu).
Pacaymayu-Puyupatamarka-Wiñaywayna
Puyupatamarca - On this day, after breakfast, the most beautiful section of the trail begins, combining high mountains and cloud forests. The morning involves several hours of hiking up to the next pass at 3,960 meters and then descending for lunch. During the morning hike, trekkers will explore some Inca sites where the guide will share historical insights. After lunch, the trail gradually ascends to the last pass at 3,660 meters, offering views of the Machu Picchu mountain, followed by a descent of a couple of hours to the campsite. In the afternoon, other Inca sites with impressive views will be visited. During dinner, the guide will organize a ceremony to thank the team, and another path will be taken to the town.
Runkuracay - Time will be taken to explore and capture the best photos after the tour guide provides historical explanations.
Wiñanaywayna-Puerta del Sol-Machupicchu-Cusco
Inti Punku Sun Gate - On the final day of the trek, the next control is checked, and the hike continues to the famous Sun Gate of Machu Picchu. The trail is beautiful, passing through dense high rainforest. After a few hours of hiking, the destination is finally reached.
Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - The main goal of the trek is to reach Machu Picchu, and after 42 km of hiking, trekkers will arrive at this historical Inca site to celebrate their achievement!
