The tour will commence early in the morning to fully appreciate the stunning sunrise at Embalse del Yeso reservoir. This unique landscape is encircled by mountains draped in a pristine snow blanket, providing the perfect setting for capturing beautiful photographs that will preserve this memorable experience.
Upon reaching the Andean mountain range, there will be a stop in San Jose for coffee and snacks to energize for the challenging 700-meter trek leading to the viewpoint, where the sky’s reflection can be seen on the reservoir’s waters.
Next, the tour will proceed to El Yeso Waterfall, a 15-meter cascade with a secure viewing area. There will be a break here, and guests are welcome to enjoy their own picnic. Following this, there is an opportunity to visit the “El Tinoco” Tunnel, constructed in 1906, which was once traversed by a small train connecting Puente Alto with the mining camp of “El Volcan.”
