Local family farmers, such a treat - Such an amazing experience. Felt like a local. Highly recommend supporting these local farmers. A truly unforgettable experience. We spent the day with local chocolate farmers, learning each step of the process—from picking cacao to crafting our own handmade treats. It was hands-on, heartfelt, and deeply rooted in tradition. The guide created space for genuine connection, making the experience feel personal and authentic rather than touristy. A beautiful way to understand the culture through its people and flavors.

Top Notch coffee/chocolate experience - Exceptional tour..Laura (our guide) and Sandra (family that owns the farm) and we have to also acknowledge Alicia whose farm we were not able to go to due to unforeseen weather reasons for an incredible experience. Laura has amazing energy, has a great way to present the processes of making coffee from the start of the plant, to the flower, to the bean and tahdah coffee. Sandra took us to pick beans and also Cocoa plants. Came back to learn the process of making coffee and we made our own chocolate bars all from scratch.. plant to roasting.. Beautiful Farm, beautiful Family and Laura has an amazing relationship with them. We feel very fortunate to have had such a great day.. we felt like family.

Amazing personalized experience! - We had the most wonderful day trip with Sarah! We are a family of 5 (ages 4, 7, and 9) and this trip was one of the highlights for all of us! Sarah was patience with stopping along the way as we needed and letting our kids enjoy the nature in their own time. There is a large hill to climb so keep that in mind, but no issues as we stopped several times to see the horses, cows, plants and animals along the way. They LOVED picking their own coffee beans and cacao pods. We have done coffee and chocolate things in other countries but this truly was so wonderful being completely individualized for us. We enjoyed delicious coffee and chocolate made by us! The lunch included was also delicious. We highly recommend this tour with BOTH the chocolate and coffee- don’t miss either!

Free Day in Colombia Well Spent - We had an amazing experience, our guide Laura was incredibly knowledgeable about everything from the country and region to the flora and fauna of the coffee and chocolate houses we visited. I would highly recommend this tour. My family was in Colombia for a wedding and this is how we used our free day, you will not regret it! Excellent food for lunch and they were very accommodating of the various dietary restrictions (vegetarians) and food allergies (gluten intolerance). We got to make our own chocolate bars after picking cacao off the trees, make coffee after seeing the full growing process it was wonderful. Do be warned that part of the trip (at least our trip) required quite a steep walk uphill and was not accessible for my mother who is approaching 70 and had to stay with the lovely family who hosted our chocolate tasting while the rest of us went up to the coffee house.

Best non-touristy excursion I did in Colombia!! Do it! - My friend and I booked this private tour and immediately I knew it would be a great experience the moment Sara picked us up from our hotel! She is such a sweet, smart, knowledgeable guide, and we learned so much about the country on our drive to the coffee and chocolate farms outside of the city in the mountains. The 2 farms were so amazing with beautiful views of the mountainside and valley, and SO many stunning flowers and plants. The experience at both of the local farm owners was unique, leaning and doing the process that they do daily to produce the coffee and chocolates. Both farms had the sweetest local owners who treated us like family and we were welcomed into their homes. The lunch was absolutely delicious as well! Sara was the absolute best guide for this tour, as she is so interested in agriculture and knowledgeable about everything in nature in Colombia, full of energy, and is a total sweetheart as well. The coffee was delicious and the chocolate experience was so fun as well, as you get to make your own flavored chocolate bars! There is an opportunity to buy the coffee and chocolate made at that very farm. These farms are very small and not mass produced, so it felt really special to be able to help out the true local hard working Colombians, and everything they get from hosting these tours goes towards making their farms more functional and special for the guests. 10/10 experience, just do it!
