Excellent service - I had the privilege of doing the tour of the Colonial Zone, Los Tres Ojos Park and the Lighthouse to Columbus with Coprixa Travels, and it was just spectacular. From the start, the service was impeccable and the organization, first class. Our guide, Ricardo, was the lifeblood of the tour. With an entertaining, professional and passionate attitude to Dominican history and culture, he took us on a time trip between cobblestone streets, underground caverns and impressive historical monuments. Each explanation was clear, interesting and full of curious data that enriched the experience. In the Colonial Zone, we were able to appreciate gems such as the Primate Cathedral of America, the Alcázar de Colón and Las Damas Street, while Ricardo immersed us in fascinating stories of the New World. Then, at Los Tres Ojos, we were amazed at the natural beauty of its crystal clear underground lagoons. And to close with a golden clasp, the Lighthouse to Columbus struck us with its monumental architecture and symbolism. This tour exceeded all my expectations. I recommend Coprixa Travels 100% for any traveler who wants to know the best of Santo Domingo in a safe, educational and entertaining way. This tour was wonderful thanks to Coprixa Travels!! - This tour was the best experience I had in the Dominican Republic, since we booked the experience the company was in contact with us, Ricardo is a very attentive person, serve, he showed us every historic point of the Colonial Zone with a very detailed explanation, the Lighthouse to Colon is a very nice monument but the most beautiful thing was the visit to the Lighthouse to Colon, to see its cenotes of crystal clear waters was wonderful. We really recommend this tour!!

The caves are beautiful! - My husband and I booked this excursion for our short get away. We mainly wanted to see the caves. Of importance to me, excellent communication from the company! They reached out quickly and were polite and thorough with the information. I really appreciate that in a service provider. While it didn’t detract from our experience, I would note that the start time shifted by nearly an hour and the itinerary went in reverse of what is advertised. I bring it up because sometimes people book more than one tour/experience in a day and this could have been an issue had we done that. The guide we were given was ok. He didn’t do anything poorly, but we have had much more enthusiastic experiences. We requested an English speaking tour and this guide did speak English and when we were the only ones in his presence he communicated to us in English, but as the majority of our group were native Spanish speakers, he prioritized them. My husband and I do speak Spanish and could follow along but it took a lot more effort for us (hence requesting the English guide). Also notable that no matter what language you designate as preferred, the lighthouse tour is given by a light house employee and that was all in Spanish, no options given. Please note I fully understand that the DR is a Spanish speaking country and we respect that. But as customers are given the choice to select a tour language, they should know it might not be quite what they are expecting. Near the end of the tour there was some sort of misunderstanding that resulted in the guide preparing to leave us at a restaurant and not complete our drop off. We sent A quick message to the tour company and they immediately sent a taxi at their expense. Thank you for making it right quickly and without complaint! We enjoyed our tour and our time in the DR. I would use this company again if we returned and see other parts of the island.

An interesting look at the city - Very interesting to know about the history, culture, architecture and natural beauties of this beautiful city in no time. Guide Domingo with great charisma and passion for his work.

A scam - I did this excursion a week ago and the experience although it was not all bad, was very disappointing. The guide was very friendly and made the tour very enjoyable but I felt conned by the company. The platform allows booking the tour for only one person for $120 although if two people go it costs only $75 each. Likewise, I decided to book the tour paying double because it was my only day in town. However, after making the reservation, the company contacted me by WhatsApp to tell me that they had to cancel the tour because I was the only person registered and minimum needed two but on the page it DID NOT say that before making the reservation. I was offered to do the tour alone for $25 plus, that's 145 usd. I agreed to do so although it was much more than the original price (75usd) thinking about the benefits of the tour, as it seemed very complete. However, during the tour I was not given the bottle of water they promised, most of the tour was walking and not by air-conditioned vehicle as they said and most tourist sites had free admission and they promised admission as if it were paid. When we arrived at the museum of the royal houses, the guide told me that it did not include the entrance, only the view outside the museum; to which I replied that on tripadvisor he said that if he included it and the guide agreed to buy the entrance. At the end of the tour, the guide took me to my accommodation on his personal motorcycle without a helmet and not by vehicle as they had also promised. I feel like they took advantage of me seeing that I'm a foreigner and traveling alone. I did this tour a week ago and the experience, although it was not bad, was very disappointing.
