A Journey Through Hokkaido’s Natural Wonders

Our family has always been drawn to the allure of vibrant landscapes and cultural experiences, so when we heard about the Hokkaido Tour from Sapporo, we knew it was a must-do. The tour promised a day filled with breathtaking views and unique experiences, and it certainly delivered.

Our adventure began with a ride along the famous Roller Coaster Road in Biei. The kids were delighted by the whimsical bales of hay decorated as scarecrows, and we all enjoyed the opportunity to feed and pet the gentle alpacas. It was a delightful experience that added a touch of whimsy to our day.

For those looking for a different perspective, a tractor ride through the fields is available, offering close-up views of the flowers. However, we found that walking allowed us to take our time and truly appreciate the vibrant colors and fragrant blooms.

Our final stop was at Farm Tomita, renowned for its lavender fields and sweeping views of the Furano Basin and Tokachi Mountain Range. Before heading back to Sapporo, we visited Ningle Terrace, a charming forested village of wooden cottages. Each cottage housed unique, handmade crafts, and we enjoyed browsing the selection of local goods. It was a wonderful opportunity to pick up a few souvenirs and support local artisans.
