This road, known as the Roller Coaster Road, features dramatic elevation changes, giving you the sensation of riding a roller coaster as you travel. With majestic mountains on both sides and expansive countryside scenery, it’s one of Furano’s renowned 8 scenic spots.

• Shirogane Blue Pond - Next, visit the iconic Biei Blue Pond, a natural wonder formed by volcanic lava flow. In the morning sunlight, the water appears even purer and bluer, creating a breathtaking sight. This Blue Pond was famously captured by National Geographic photographer Kent Shiraishi, making it one of the most photogenic spots in the world.
• Shikisai no Oka - Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday
  Then, head to Shikisai-no-Oka (Hill of Four Seasons) and admire a sprawling 15-hectare flower field resembling a rainbow carpet, with various flowers blooming at different times of the year.

Then, it’s time to ride on the Shikisai-no-Oka NOROCCO to explore the vast Shikisai-no-Oka. Enjoy the fragrance of flowers while taking in the beautiful scenery of hills, snow-capped mountains, and colorful fields.

• Furano - Every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
  Continue to one of Japan’s oldest flower fields, Farm Tomita in Furano, a lavender-centric field that has been transformed into a large rural farm with up to 150 flowers. The lavender season usually begins in June.

In mid-August, the winter greenhouse showcases various plants such as lavender and cosmos. Saffron starts blooming in mid-April, followed by daffodils and tulips in May. From the top of the flower field, covered with lavender, enjoy panoramic views of the Furano Basin and the Tokachi Mountain Range.

• Ningle Terrace - Next, enter a fairytale world with a 30-minute visit to Ningle Terrace, a handicraft workshop in the green forest of Furano inspired by a character from the novel by Japanese author Tomonori Ware. Smell the scent of pine trees and admire a blanket of soft white snow lining the walkways.

Wander around a collection of wooden boutique cottages that serve as shops selling unique handicrafts, mostly handmade, including glass crafts, paper crafts, hand-painted artwork, and crafts made from dried lavender flowers of Furano.
