In addition to lavender, other flower varieties are also planted in the garden. Saffron blooms from mid-April, followed by daffodils, tulips, and more in May. Climbing to the top of the flower field offers a view of the Furano Basin and the Tokachi mountain range amidst the lavender fields.

• Shikisai no Oka - Shikisai No Oka is a renowned panoramic flower garden located in Biei, Hokkaido, Japan. Famous for its stunning seasonal landscapes, the garden spans a vast area of rolling hills, with fields of vibrant flowers like lavender, sunflowers, tulips, and cosmos blooming from spring to autumn. The array of colors spread across the gentle slopes creates a breathtaking view often described as a “flower paradise.”

Visitors can explore the garden on foot, rent buggies, or take a ride on a tractor bus to enjoy the sights. The garden is also surrounded by scenic views of the Tokachi mountain range, adding to its charm.

In winter, Shikisai No Oka transforms into a snow-covered wonderland, offering activities like snow rafting and snowmobiling. The on-site shop sells local produce and flower-related souvenirs, and the café serves dishes featuring fresh ingredients from the area.

• Ningle Terrace - Ningle Terrace in Furano is a forest handmade experience workshop inspired by a character in the novels of Japanese writer Satoshi Kuramoto (specifically, a 15cm elf living in a large forest). The cabins here are small shops, each selling unique handmade goods such as glass crafts, paper crafts, hand paintings, and crafts made from Furano’s dried lavender flowers. Each shop is small and exquisite, and everything is exclusively sold here, ensuring there are no duplicates.
