Trebević - Trebević, with its prominent peak, is a notable feature on the southern side of Sarajevo. Generations of Sarajevans have visited this area via cable car, which originally ran from Bistrik to the Olympic Bobsled tracks. Although the cable car was destroyed during the war, it was restored in 2018. Today, Trebević is accessible by cable car, on foot, or by a 20-minute drive or taxi ride along the road to Jahorina via Vraca to reach Brus. Known as “the lungs of Sarajevo,” Trebević is the nearest mountain accessible by cable car from the heart of Stari Grad (Old Town), starting from the Bistrik neighborhood.
