One of the darkest... - One of the darkest chapters of the modern Bosnian history, a lot to process but at the same an essential experience.
Our guide Ejub was great and his knowledge about the complex politics of the region made the experience that much more unforgettable.

A very powerful yet educational experience - I had this tour with Almir who was very nice, informed and patient guide. Almir guided me and my son during the tour in a long day and described alot of details about Srebrenica genocide and all surrounding conditions and also its subsequent events. This tour came one day after our tour the day before with the same company “Fall of Yugoslavia” which I recommend it as well and in the same sequence. With both tours and in only couple of days I feel that I captured alot of info on this war (1992 - 1995). I highly recommend this tour especially with Almir who did all he could to give us a very especial tour.

This is a full day tour full of poignant reminders of a truly awful event. - This is a full day tour full of poignant reminders of a truly awful event.
Our guide was Almir who fought and was injured in the Sarajevo Ware. One would forgive him for having bitter memories of the time but he was respectful and professional throughout. He seemed to be genuinely happy that people want to learn more about the genocide and encouraged us all to tell our friends to increase knowledge of this terrible time.
As I learned more about the events that led to the slaughter of thousands of Muslim men and boys I became angry at the people who could have prevented it. Governments in the west turned a blind eye and the United Nations became known as United Nothing as their blue helmeted "peacekeepers" stood by and did nothing. It is a scandal that more people have not been brought to account over what happened in Srebrenica.
Almir kindly sent the participants links via WhatsApp to books and films with more information and I would recommend watching the Oscar nominated Quo Vardis, Aida?
This is not a tour for the faint hearted but is an important reminder of how lucky most of us are to live such carefree lives.

I highly recommend the day trip to Srebrenica to understand the atrocities the bosniaks have gone through. - Agan was super helpful, knowledgeable im history and up to date with the current status of bosnia. He was friendly and attentive to answer any kind of historical question.
The experience at srebrenica cannot be explained in words, you need to experience it in person.

Interesting and long but be prepared for last minute changes - We both found this very informative but a very long day. Please be aware that things can change at a moments notice so we were not able to go to the memorial due to the current political situation. In hindsight we wish we had gone to the exhibition in Sarajevo as well to get a fuller understanding but had thought it would have been to much. The guide(forgotten name) was full of stories and made the day.

Excellent - I had a great and informative day with Senad and learned a lot about the Srebrenica genocide.
The journey through the Bosnian mountains and countryside is an added bonus and Senad would stop anywhere you liked to take pictures

Great and highly recommended - My experience with the Fall of Yugoslavia tour was excellent. The entire tour was well-organized and adhered perfectly to the planned timeline. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and provided in-depth explanations, especially regarding the historical aspects of the Yugoslav Wars and the region’s complex past.
He answered all our questions thoroughly and presented the history in a compelling and engaging manner. Their insights truly enhanced my understanding of the events and their impact on the region. I appreciate the effort and professionalism of your team in curating such an informative and well-structured tour.
Thank you once again for a great experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in the history of the Balkans!

Visit to the Memorial - A study tour to the Srebrenica Genocide Memorial is a deeply moving and educational experience that provides a profound understanding of the 1995 genocide, in which over 8,000 Bosniak men and boys were murdered. Located in Potočari, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the memorial includes a cemetery with thousands of graves, a museum with exhibits detailing the genocide, and the former UN Dutch Battalion base where refugees sought but were ultimately denied protection. The tour not only honors the memory of the victims but also serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of ethnic hatred and the importance of justice, reconciliation, and historical awareness.
