Excellent tour guide who was a former soldier turned peace activist and mediator. Recipe for a successful full day tour. - Our group could not have had a better tour guide than Adnan a former soldier in the Bosnian Army turned peace activist and peace mediator immediately after the war and now also a tour guide. His knowledge and experience made it even more impressive because of his neutrality when addressing this sensitive topic also looking at it through the eyes of the enemy always exploring ways to bring permanent peace and reconciliation. A truly remarkable man bringing light to a full day tour that hold so much pain and suffering. The long journey was in a comfortable and clean vehicle with a delicious roll prepared for us and a complimentary bottle of water giving the tour a special touch.

Emotional, Must visit! - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Srebrenica tour was deeply moving and incredibly well organized. Our guide Adis was exceptional — respectful, knowledgeable, and very empathetic. He explained the historical background with great clarity and sensitivity, giving us a real understanding of what happened there. It was an emotional experience, but one that everyone should have to truly grasp the impact of the war. I highly recommend this tour — it’s unforgettable and handled with the utmost respect.

Srebrenica Memorial Museum tells a most important story to the world. - Adis met our group of three, as soon as was humanly possible, on the morning of October 6, 2025. (Dream Balkans representatives met each of us at the appointed time and explained that a traffic tie-up was keeping Adis a bit longer.) We missed nothing. On the way to Srebrenica, he fully covered the background of the conflict and the events that led up to July, 1995's horrific genocide.
Once at the Memorial Museum in Potcari, a museum staff member gave us a full explanation of the events of July 11, 1995, as well as showing an introductory video of the events. Several rooms, in two large buildings, provided displays of the events tat played out between 1991 and 1996. Videos and a full range of preserved items added to the written testimonials of survivors and family members.
Of particular note were the wall that showed the photographs of men and boys killed on July 11, 1995. There were tables of shoes that were left behind by the victims, similar to the shoe piles in Auschwitz.
Adis took us to Srebrenica town and to the Memorial Cemetery, giving us details on both places. He went the extra mile and deserves a lot of credit for keeping a sense of objectivity, despite being a veteran who served in the Bosnian Regular Army/

Srebrenica - the Dark spot in modern Bosnian history - Even though it is a mentally hard study trip, you return in the evening with a better understanding of the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our guide, Adis, told us a lot of background information while we drove through the beautiful mountainous terrain to Srebrenica. I cannot recommend this trip enough. It works for solo travelers as well because you travel in a small group of maximum 7 persons.

Visit the enriching rains - The visit was very rewarding. The title of the visit Study Day on Genocide does not make what awaits us well at the Memorial in Sbrebernica because it is much more than that.
We could speak of an intrusion into the heart of the genocide because the visual medium makes us live the events that occurred there.
Our guide is a survivor and he accompanies us admirably in this knowledge of history.
Finally, the transport is highly comfortable.

This was such a... - This was such a worthwhile tour.
Incredibly harrowing stories but very important history to learn. Our guide provided a lot of detailed and insightful information about Bosnia during the 1990s war.
The new museum exhibit detailing the events, sharing stories and sharing information about the gravesites was especially worthwhile.

Recommended while in Sarajevo - This is a convenient way to visit the memorial centre. Sened, our guide, was very knowledgeable and made the 3-hour drive interesting with lots of background knowledge about the massacre. The memorial centre exceeded my expectations and was very interesting. It's a long day of driving and heavy subject matter but I recommend for those interested in learning more about the massacre.
