Excellent tour. Guide... - Excellent tour. Guide very knowledgeable about Amish culture. Stops were very good. One was a quilt shop so not everyone 's cup of tea but brief stop. We went back afterwards to two of the places.

A fun morning in Sarasota, Florida's "Amish country." - Nineteen of us enjoyed this very interesting tour yesterday. Our trolley driver was excellent, and Kendra, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable and kept us entertained with fascinating stories. I highly recommend this tour. Make sure you allow some time to explore the gift shop inside the tour's office building.

What a fun Amish tour! - This trolley tour with Kendra was SO enjoyable we are planning to go again next season! We had such a nice group of people to be with and especially enjoyed seeing and learning about the hotel. Such a treat that we plan to stay there soon! We love the Amish ways and enjoy many of the fun and meaningful fiction books written about the Amish communities. Kendra was extremely knowledgeable, answered many questions, and gave us a fabulous history lesson. Kendra's personal story telling was very touching as well. Looking forward to going again, as well as trying some of the other tours.

Do Not Miss This Amazing And Informative Tour! - First, our tour guide (Kendra) is an amazing orator! The very best I've ever heard! Speaking with eloquence and grace, Kendra's own historical roots to the Amish community are woven in throughout the tour and as a guest you will be spellbound from the beginning to the very end. You are guaranteed to gain a wealth of knowledge, the majority of which you have never known before about this friendly, loving community. Kendra delivered an absolute Master Class, starting with the Amish migration to Pennsylvania as they were seeking religious freedom, on through to today, including driving us through their neighborhoods in Sarasota while explaining their way of life. But don't think for a minute that what you'll learn will be a simple recitation of boring facts. Oh no! Kendra is also quite funny and will keep you laughing along the way, while at times speaking with emotion as she shares some of her memories as a young girl. I am 70 years old, and I learned more in 1.5 hours than I ever thought possible. I highly recommend that you do not miss this fantastic tour! I also wanted to acknowledge the very friendly folks we met at Discover Sarasota Tours. Everyone we met was effusive in their greeting and welcoming all of us. We will definitely be dong more Discover Sarasota Tours!

Amish Experience - The Amish Experience tour was phenomenal! Kendra did an amazing job by personalizing the tour with her own family stories. She made it that much more interesting. All of the members of my group were very impressed with the tour. We toured the homes (the street) park, hotel, quilt shop, an bakery.

Enjoyable way to learn about a different culture living nearby - 10 girlfriends did this as a planned outing. The trolley is fully enclosed and air conditioned. Holds about 30 guests. The guide was so knowledgeable and easy to hear. We drove through the Pinecraft area, learning about who the Amish and Mennonite are and where they come to Sarasota from. Stopped at Carlisle Inn, quilting shop, and Der Dutchman-all Amish run places. Wish we had thought to come back to Yoders or Der Dutchman for a group lunch after the tour!! (Maybe next time).

Excellent - Firstly my rating was 5 out of 5 first and foremost because of our Guide “Kendra” who was and is at the top of the guided tour game. Kendra figures out her crowd and works with them. We were a group of 30 people and we are a loud bunch. Kendra really entertained us and gave us incredible informative information regarding the Amish. Kendra knows what she is talking about because she has grown up with family that were Amish. We were really impressed and will definitely recommend to others and we ourselves will be taking other tours with this company. Thank You! Carol & Bob

The Amish community in Sarasota. - Kendra, our guide, did an amazing job in explaining the history of the Amish culture and beginnings. Her own personal experiences with the Amish made it more relatable and insightful. We stopped at a quilt making establishment and an Amish bakery. A must excursion to learn about this incredible community.
