Located just half a mile from Lido Beach and a short distance from St. Armands Circle and Downtown Sarasota, this experience is easily accessible yet feels like a serene escape under the mangrove canopy.

This tour is crafted around the meandering tunnels: shaded pathways, gentle curves, and numerous opportunities to observe the intricate details that bring the mangroves to life—such as mangrove crabs, fish, and shorebirds—with the added chance of spotting dolphins or manatees during various months. Depending on the conditions, your guide may also venture into more open waters to seek out wildlife.

You’ll also pause briefly at a sandbar to stretch, capture photos, and enjoy the scenery before resuming the paddle. The pace is leisurely and suitable for beginners, with patient guidance and a focus on safety throughout the journey.

This kayak and paddleboard tour highlights the enchanting mangrove tunnels. While there will be some paddling in open waters, the majority of the tour takes place within the expansive tunnel network.

The starting point is unbeatable: Participants gather at Ted Sperling Park on Lido Key, conveniently located near Lido Beach, St. Armands Circle, and Downtown Sarasota.

A brief stop at a sandbar occurs about halfway through the tour, providing a wonderful opportunity to stretch and take in the scenic views.

The tour is abundant with wildlife, including birds, fish, invertebrates, and the potential to see dolphins and manatees, depending on the season and conditions.

Participants can choose between a kayak or paddleboard, and mixing both in the same group is encouraged!
