Fun adventure in SRQ - I went on the Art Trolley Tour with a few friends, although we were all local residents the tour highlighted areas we hadn’t been to. It was well organized, fun, and interesting to visit lots of galleries around town. Tammy and her crew made the experience easy and enjoyable, we even learned some history of SRQ. I had family visit for the holidays and they did the Christmas tour and loved it too. I highly recommend the trolley or those visiting SRQ and for locals who want a new perspective and a fun adventure! I’ll definitely be back for a different tour.

Interesting history…learned a lot - Our guide, Jon, interspersed his own family stories living in the area along with the local and historical history of the founders, the Ringling family and others, and stories about the town which personalized it and made it interesting.

Fun Valentines Evening - We had a great few hours on the Art Crawl Trolley - visited many galleries that we pass by on a daily basis but never stopped into. Everyone at Discover Sarasota were so friendly and helpful that it makes we want to volunteer for some of their trolley tours. AND we learned about the Lime Light District ! I have lived in Sarasota for 8 years and never heard about that area - what a gem. Thank you all for a fun Valentines evening. Elizabeth & Doug

Not exactly what I had hoped for - My review is specific to the art gallery crawl trolley. First let me say that the trolleys themselves are fun and the guides are knowledgeable and fun! In regards to the art gallery crawl, I was disappointed in the content. I will say that I learned where galleries are moving to as they depart the expense of downtown but I didn’t get to see a lot of art. Some of the stops were primarily “ Furniture as art “. The establishments we did visit were very gracious and most had water, drinks and or snacks. Some had wine. One location had an incredible array of High-quality party hors d’oeuvres. In regards to art, at some stops, there would be one gallery, another, just viewing a mural of Sarasota‘s art history through a glass storefront, although some stops had multiple galleries like Palm Avenue. Overall, for me, it was not the experience I had hoped for.

Book early art crawl - Three of the art galleries were closed- one out of business. We were on the 6 pm tour and it seemed they closed at 5. Perhaps this tour should not be offered after 4 pm.

Underwhelming and misinformed - Receptionist advised we start at stop #6. We boarded the trolley and proceeded to #6. We viewed the art then grabbed the next trolley . It took us back to the cottage at 6:45 where were were told the last trolley just left . I was under the impression the last trolley returned at 7:45 to the cottage. One stop and pd full price. We also did not spend an extraordinary amount of time. Maybe 15 minutes. Disappointed.
