• Gunung Gading National Park - A professional English-speaking guide will pick up visitors from their hotel lobby in Kuching city around 8:00 am in an air-conditioned minivan, heading to Gunung Gading National Park. Located approximately 53 miles (85 km) from Kuching city, the 1.5-hour drive passes through local villages and farms before reaching the small town of Lundu.

Upon arrival at Gunung Gading National Park, the search for the extraordinary Rafflesia flower begins. The trek to waterfall No. 7 takes about 4-5 hours to witness this stunning flower. It is advisable to bring extra drinking water and wear comfortable walking or trekking shoes.

The trail passes several waterfalls, and the tour guide will provide information about the park during the walk, as the path is uphill and steep in some areas. Enjoy the cool, fresh air and observe the forest’s flora and fauna, including birds and some wildlife, in the breezy forest. As the Rafflesia flower’s bloom depends on its pollinator and has a short flowering period, seeing it in bloom requires a bit of luck.

Visitors can enjoy a cold and refreshing swim in the beautiful waterfalls or the natural pool near the park station. Remember, it gets dark relatively early in the rainforest, so ensure enough time to return to the park entrance, as overnight stays in the forest are not allowed.

After the tour concludes in the late evening, guests will be safely transferred back to their hotel.
