With an entry ticket, visitors can enjoy a self-guided tour using the provided audio guide. Although there is no time limit during operating hours, a visit of 2 hours is suggested.

Constructed in 1452 by Fatih Sultan Mehmet to protect Istanbul and block aid from the north, the fortress is situated in Sariyer, Istanbul. It was built in just four months and features three large towers, four main gates, and an additional Cemetery Gate.
