Lake Kaindy - The journey begins in the morning with a departure from Almaty. The drive to Saty village is approximately 4 hours, with potential stops at a gas station and a shop if necessary. It’s advisable to bring a light snack. Upon reaching Saty, local transport (UAZ or PAZ) will take you on a 30-minute ride to the lower Kaindy Lake parking area. From there, a short walk leads to Kaindy Lake, where you can spend about 40 minutes enjoying the scenery and capturing photos. Afterward, return to Saty for a delightful lunch at a guesthouse. Post-lunch, the trip continues to Kolsai Lake.
Kolsai Lake - Following lunch, the journey proceeds to the picturesque Kolsai Lake, a 20–30 minute drive through beautiful mountain roads. Upon arrival, there is free time to stroll along the lakeshore, take breathtaking photos, and breathe in the fresh mountain air. Kolsai is renowned as one of Kazakhstan’s most famous lakes, offering a serene and relaxing environment, ideal for appreciating the natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. After enjoying the lake, return to Saty village. In the evening, a warm and delicious dinner awaits at the local guesthouse, providing an opportunity to relax and share the day’s experiences.
Charyn Canyon and Black Canyon
Charyn Canyon - The day begins with breakfast at the guesthouse in Saty village, followed by a journey to the stunning Black Canyon, which takes about 1.5 hours. Upon arrival, a stop at a scenic viewpoint for 15–30 minutes allows for enjoying the view and taking memorable photos. The trip then continues to the renowned Charyn Canyon, a 40-minute drive away. At Charyn Canyon, there is up to 2 hours to explore, walk around, take stunning photos, and soak in the unique atmosphere of this natural marvel. On the return journey, a brief stop at a gas station offers the chance to purchase coffee or snacks for the road. The day concludes with a return to Almaty, filled with wonderful memories.
