The team takes pride in offering tours grounded in factual history. This is why ghost tours are not part of the offerings. Savannah’s rich and dark history provides plenty of material without the need for embellishment. The tour kicks off with a recount of a fierce duel that occurred in a bar that still stands today. Participants will then learn about Savannah’s first murder. The tour includes a visit to the site of the colony’s first cemetery and the grave of a Native American who played a vital role in Georgia’s success. Attendees will also see the location where a more recent serial killer encountered a victim, followed by a discussion on the past and present of Colonial Park Cemetery. The tour delves into the significant tragedies Savannah faced during the Revolution and the impact they had. The experience concludes at the site of a murder that, ironically, helped put Savannah on the pop culture map and contributed to its thriving tourist industry today.

Please be aware that while some local ghost tours have recently rebranded as “dark history” tours, this tour is the original! It remains Savannah’s only fact-based evening tour.
