Highly Recommend - Our tour guide, Cathy, made this a 5-star experience for my wife and me. The group was small and friendly, the food was great, the walk was easy, and Cathy made the tour fun and interesting.

We made new friends over delicious food. - We truly enjoyed this tour! The food was fabulous and exactly what we hoped for but I need to give 10 Stars for the size of the group! No one enjoys being seen as a tourist and the size of our group, 5 “tourists” and 2 guides was perfect. Cathy had us friends before we even began to walk the tour and truthfully, this effort made the tour. Well done!

Food and Fun Personified! - Savannah’s food was on display and our tour was delicious as expected. Michael has a great fun personality and we learned lots of history tidbits lending to a motivating evening. Our Featured restaurants were Public Kitchen, SixPence Pub,Belford’s and a grand finale at Savannah Candy Kitchen. It was a great time and will look forward to more.

Delicious and informative - My husband and i took the dinner food tour with Michael in Historic Savannah. We were a little concerned at first because we were the only two on the tour, but Michael was so gracious and really put us at ease. We started with a fabulous shrimp and grits (I had only ever had breakfast grits and didn't think I liked them, boy was I mistaken). We then went to an English Pub for a "go cup". Then to the City Market for Baked Oysters, Fried Green tomatoes and ice cream. All great choices and plenty enough food for dinner! All along the way, Michael taught us about the history of the squares and neighborhoods and recommended spots that matched our interests. I highly recommend this tour

Great way to try new places and new food!! - We had a wonderful time with Michael on this tour. The amount of interesting history facts was wonderful in such a great city like Savannah. We also appreciated that it was not cancelled even though it was only my husband and I. On the other hand, we only stopped at 2 restaurants, one bar, and one ice cream shop. (We thought there would be at least another restaurant or two) But, that being said, the food was delicious and we had the best time.

Good food and general experience - The guide kept his seat even when there were not enough seats at the table for all of the paying customers, we were very crowded in at a table and the guide and a guide in training both had seats at the heads of the table. Meanwhile, my husband had to hold his bowl of soup, and plate of food over his lap. The guide also wanted to split our large group into 5 and 5 to go into a restaurant stop for our drinks, rather than being obsevant enough to allow 4 and 6 as we were all there as couples. The guides' several and repeated mentions of tipping were bordering obnoxious and awkward. Not because we did not want to tip, we are consistently generous tippers of all people in service industry but this was excessive to us, although we do know that they wanted to communicate that tips were welcome and not included in price of the tour.

Too Little For Too Much $$$ - While we LOVED our tour guide Cathy, we felt the cost of this tour was FAR too high and the listing and pictures online were very misleading. We do food tours almost everywhere we go and this was the most we have ever paid, and as a chef I usually have a lot of questions to check the value, so I called before booking. On their website under " more info" the dinner package says 1 cocktail, the lunch package says 2 cocktails. I thought that was strange since they are the same price, she assured me that the listing was incorrect, it was in fact 2 cocktails for dinner and they just needed to update the website listing because they are currently transitioning?? FYI it still says the incorrect information today. We received only ONE BEER for the entire tour, NO cocktails at all, we had to pay for those separately. The pictures for the tour on all platforms features HUSK restaurant frequently, this was not a stop on the tour at all. Only actual photos of the tour should be used, not stock photos from HUSK website, otherwise I consider this false advertising. I also asked how many stops are made and if they could tell me the names, so that we didn't accidentally go there the days we were visiting before the tour, they would not share where the stops were but said it was 4-5 stops depending on the day. This was our tour: (1.)Single beer at Sixpence pub( you had to choose from a very limited menu) (2.) 2-sliced fried green tomatoes, 3oz she crab soup, and 2 roasted oysters at Belford Seafood (3.) Half portion shrimp and grits at Churchill's. (4.) 2 oz scoop of ice cream at River Street Sweet, NOT Leopolds, which again is what is pictured and is well known. For $125/person this was very little food and drinks provided. This felt like a huge money grab. Maybe that is just because I am in this industry and know what the cost of the food actually is. What we were provided would account for about $30/person, in total we paid $260. I selected this company over another company that was $50 less per person based on the 2 cocktails we were told we would receive, and the seafood, which was very limited as you can read above. Again we loved the history from Cathy that was great and she gave us a wonderful tour!! But we had to eat again after the tour because it was not enough food, so I cannot recommend this tour. Go see Cathy for some history and buy food as you go!
