Visitors can explore Bar Vitelli, take photos with an authentic Sicilian shotgun “Lupara,” view movie stills, and admire a mirror monument dedicated to Coppola. The square offers a stunning panoramic view of the Mediterranean, where the wedding scene was filmed. A walk leads to the ancient church of Santa Lucia, where Michael and Apollonia were wed at the doorway. Strolling through Savoca’s charming streets, one might even encounter actors, such as the lady who portrayed Apollonia’s mother. The tour concludes with a traditional lunch at a typical “Trattoria,” featuring Etna cheeses, salami, ham, sun-dried tomatoes from Taormina, olives, homemade bread, parmigiana, caponata, pasta alla norma, local wine, and lemon sorbet for dessert.
