Amazing Landscapes in Ninh Binh

Hoa Lu Temples of the Dinh & Le Dynasties - This morning, enjoy a 1-hour 45-minute drive to Ninh Binh province. Hoa Lu was the ancient capital of Vietnam over a thousand years ago.

Tam Coc - Option 1: Tam Coc - Bich Dong

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before you embark on a sampan ride along a tranquil stream to admire the majestic limestone cliffs, mysterious caves, and vast rice fields. On the return journey, disembark for a leisurely walk around Thai Vi temple. The villagers built Thai Vi temple to honor the Kings of the Tran Dynasty. It also houses a bell cast in 1689. Continue to visit Bich Dong (emerald-like grotto) nearby, where you can reach the top of the Upper Pagoda and enjoy a panoramic view of the paddy fields between Truong Yen Mountain. This grotto is renowned as “the most beautiful cave in Vietnam.” A scene from the popular French movie “Indochine” was filmed here in 1991. You will depart for Hanoi in the late afternoon.

Trang An Grottoes - Option 2: Trang An

After lunch, head to the Trang An Landscape Complex for a boat trip to explore the cave complex: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, and Nau Ruou, in their mysterious and wild beauty. Witness the stunning scenery of mountains and rivers, reminiscent of Halong Bay, in the land of Ninh Binh. After the tour, drive back to Hanoi and be dropped off at your hotel.

Hanoi City & Street Food Tour

Hanoi - Meet your guide around 07:30 am and head towards Hoan Kiem Lake. After visiting the Ngoc Son Temple, enjoy a visit to a traditional, local, and charming coffee shop to try Vietnam’s local coffee: Cà phê sữa đá (Iced coffee). For the adventurous, try the ‘Egg coffee’! After coffee, continue walking and stop at a street food spot to savor the delicious ‘bánh mì’ – a typical baguette sandwich filled with a variety of ingredients! Next, visit Hoa Lo Prison, where Vietnamese, American, and French prisoners of war were once held. At noon, stop at a ‘Bún Chả’ restaurant to try Hanoi’s specialty. Continue to the Temple of Literature, built in 1076 as Vietnam’s first university. Your last stop of the day is a walking tour of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. After a long day, finish with evening beers at the famous Bia Hoi, where you can taste local draft beer.
